I agree with Swickster here.

Why stay in the game if you have a feeling you are beat. Try to always play to your best odds, it's the beauty of the poker room, the odds change as the game goes on and you have a choice to stay up to date with them and bet on the game or take a walk and fold. There is no other game in the casino like poker in this way. Play with your best odds!

-JJ- flop comes 2-7-10? Go all-in!

I have worst beats with pocket pairs. Mainly JJ, TT. If I rise them with preflop assuming they are premium, am finding it hard to fold when I own top pair after seeing the flop. But somehow they get beaten by higher pocket pairs that way.
If I just limp in and slow play them am giving free cards to get myself beaten.
Please give a strategy to all pocket pairs, especially JJ, TT.

Your main objective is to become a lottery in which you do not scare away their rivals to collect from them the maximum jackpot, but do not give them to collect more powerful combination. This is achieved by the average value bets - they are sufficient for the stake, while quite expensive for those who are building a street / flash. You need to narrow down the number of opponents to 2-4.
If the flop no one showed the strength of their cards, and you - in late position, then put. In no-limit hold'em is the right occasion to press the "all-in".

Raise to pot value, fold if you get a big 3 bet

I start off by trying to gather information pre-flop. I put in a larger than normal raise, or if someone else has raised it I put in a decent 3 bet. That gives me a lot of information of the strength of my opponent's hand by how they react to my raises. After that if I think my opponent has a higher pair, but I'm not sure, I focus on pot control. Usually a smallish c-bet is necessary. As small as I can make it and still portray a strong hand to avoid getting bullied out of the hand. After that I'll stick with small bets or check and calling. Calling an opponents bet or raise is really dependent on the situation

With JJ or TT hand u should see flop before make a big move. Sometimes these pairs are just not enough even with unmached, no suited or straigh open flop.

I make a decent sized raise preflop at least 4-5x BB and then play your cards the best you can. Sometimes people play top pair like its the absolute nuts so its hard to lay down on a board of 842 rainbow, but hopefully raising high preflop will get all marginal hands out and you can see if your beat by QQ-AA or you might be the one with JJ over 10s. Each pot is different just do your best to put your villain on a possible hand.

depends on your read but usually i'll call a 3bet with 10 10 J J, if all low cards pay close attention to his bet, generalising here but if someone holds an overpair they will usually bet pot or close enough to, usually if they hold A K they will c-bet half the pot as to try and take it down there and then

One should always be aware that it is possible your hand a bit already on the flop! So you need to learn how to fold a good hand!

The only real definitive answer to this is "When you feel like you're at risk." I can't tell you how many times pocket Jacks have lost for me. My very first live bad beat was with pocket Jacks.. and I've hated, hated them ever since.

Missjacki nailed it. As always, your actions will be somewhat dependent on your position and your stack. Be aggressive before the flop with them. Your goal is to either win the pot pre-flop or narrow the field to 1 player. If you get a caller and the flop comes up with no overcards, it is time for another aggressive bet. But if the flop comes up with an ace or 2 over cards, it may be time to back it down a bit. I would not see a problem with checking in that situation to try to give yourself one more shot at hitting the set.

I always raise if no one raised before me. If there is a 3bet from a nit I fold.
If there are 1-2 overcards try to conti bet and fold to reraise. When you are shortstack just go all in. You will hardly get a better spot for shoving and doubling your chips.

Yeah, that too. I seem to lose when someone ELSE has them- they'll hit a set on the flop to either my overcards or a huge draw or something. It's like they're always out to get me. Pretty sure this it's the most hated hand among many players, lol

Well as always position is the key to this problem. If no one makes a move before me a tri-bet will be in order

But this hand can make you or break you the amount of risk you are willing to take is your personal "million dollar question"

Raise or 3-bet pre flop with TT JJ.you can fold against a re-raise when you have a deep stack.post flop c-bet.post flop, when you have overpair you can go all in.with big cards on flop fold against aggression

This is something that I had read 4 hours ago before being in this situation. Early stage micro stakes SNG I was in c/o - 1 early limper - I raised to 4x. SB raised to 16x. I don't know what I was thinking staying in the hand - it was KK and I stacked off.

I should have folded to the oversize raise. JJ is so beguiling it is hard to let go.

In other JJ or TT situations (stacks are deep, figuring out how people play) I think it's fair to play them like mid-small pockets pairs - call a raise but don't get too involved unless you hit a set. If overcards come and anyone gets feisty just let them go.

Pocket tens aren't even so good. Except for set mining.

Usually when tight player goes for 4-bet (or pot comes already 3-betted by them to me during pflop) TT and even JJ find their way to muck.
