What do you do about people raising and not letting you play

Have you guys ever been on a table that has one or 2 raisers and reraisers? How do you play with them? It seems to stop you being able to limp into a hand. I think this question has been asked before but i can't seem to find the thread. I lost 5 tournaments because people kept raising and reraising and I just couldn't play. All help is appreciated.

Wait for a premium hand and pounce. Another thing you can do is if you spot a person who is raising a lot, its an opportunity to 3 or 4 bet lighter as well. Even mix in some 3 bet jams to let the raisers know they won't be able to get away with it.

The only profitably strategy here is to be patient and wait for a monster in order to jam or call with +ev hands always in position and hope to hit the flop very hard and stack off some of the pre flop aggressors.

You just need to wait for a good hand to fold, when it comes to the end within reason, personally for me such players are just a gift.

The best thing is to wate for premium hands. One s you get them let the agrro players bet. You should go all in and win.

Unless the premium hand says that you need to go all in? :) Of course everyone has their own tactics, but I do not agree with you

I am pretty surprised nobody mentioned this before, but you shouldn't be limping in general. Maybe on later phases of tournaments, when there are a lot of short stacks, it is good technique. Limp is in general sign of weakness and as soon as somebody sees that you limp weak hands which you fold facing raise, you will be exploited. Especially, when you have much bigger stack behind, you can expect that villain will apply pressure, especially when you limp.

If someone limps, I won't be re raising as wide as I would open raise, but still I will re raise wider then I would 3bet. So if you don't want re raises, try to have solid preflop strategy first, where you raise or fold when opening most of the time.

"If you want to live, you must be willing to die". Don't play mediocre hands, but when you are dealt a premium hand play it aggressively.

I try it many times. Usually whenever I have pockets a couple of players on same table hold pockets as well. Its kinda crazy like a bingo. Whoever hits the 3rd card wins

I agree, it seems like a:

1. Aggression problem. You really don't want to be finding hands to limp with.

2. Range problem. If you are having trouble playing because of a raise/re-raise it is because you need to tighten up your range. I never had a problem playing AA/KK/QQ/JJ AK when faced with a raise/re-raise.

In these cases you have to take risks and with a good hand be the aggressor and carry to the limit your determination

The raisers are probably saving you from limping away your chip stack. You should tell them thank you in chat.

mix in some 3 or 4 bets in to your range with hands you would normally call a raise with. On premium hands just call to balance your range and when you hit the board hard you will stack the aggressor more than likely.

Tighten up and value-bet them to death. Fold or 3-bet. Don't just call, unless you have a monster and give them the slack to hang themeselves.

I hate it when you're at a table and all a particular player is doing is keeping you from winning hands, as you see the board bring you missed straights, flushes, and full houses a plenty. All of which you would have played had the flop not been 5x'd UTG. And whats worse is the guy raising isnt winning any of the hands so he literally just keeping you from winning. No advice, just know your pain.

When people often raise bets, it's good for you, they collect chips in one place, and you just need to catch this player:)

Call with some hands and see some flops if you think they are reraising light. They will keep stealing until there is some push back.

Look for a spot that you would raise if you were the one opening, and 3bet hard. Jam if you have to. They'll learn not to steamroll or go broke not learning.
