i think around 1-2% of your total bankroll for each tournament buy in. This approach helps to minimize the risk of ruin during inevitable downswings while still allowing for meaningful tournament participation. It's crucial to manage your bankroll wisely to ensure long-term sustainability and to avoid going broke due to variance in tournament results.

I don't use more than 10 percent of my bankroll for MTT tournaments, and I usually try less.

1% for MTTs and 2% for STTs. And this is the highest, you play. With a $600 bankroll you can play $10 STTs and/or $5.5 MTTs, but you should also mix in $5 STTs and/or $2.2-$4.4 MTTs. Anything more aggressive than this is not really bankroll management but can work, if you play with a budget rather than a bankroll. Like maybe you have $100 in the account and play $5 STTs. Then if you lose it all, you take a break until your next paycheck and deposit another $100. If you win, you dont deposit, and maybe you will eventually have a bankroll for $5 STTs.

The better you play, the fewer entries you need to have for the limit, and the more expensive tournaments you play, the more entries for the limit you need, ideally this is 1% of the bankroll, but at micro-limits there are a lot of bad players, so if you play well, I think you can use 2% of your bankroll!!!

the most important thing is not to use your entire bankroll to participate in the tournament, sooner or later you will get you to bankroll 0, and you will start all over again, when I was a beginner, I was still playing for all my money and losing and then started playing for 5% of my bankroll, if you feel confident that you are playing the same way, play for 5% or less of your bankroll

you need to have a hundred entries to the tournament...
in simple words, if you play mtt for $ 1, the bankroll should be $ 100

I think it's important to have discipline and maintain 1% of the bankroll. But when a big prize is reached (from 20buyins and above) we can take 10% of that prize and pay a higher limit as long as we have the discipline not to get into the rebuy trap.

Hi :)
I use up to 5% of my bankroll per game session. For example, if my bankroll is $100, I don't spend more than $5 in one evening. I basically play three $1 tournaments and one $2 tournament.
Good luck.

I may use up to 5 or 10% of my bankroll in any poker game if my bankroll is more than $50,
but if it is more than $100, I will not exceed 5%.
However, if my bankroll is less than $20, I may also exceed 10% per day, especially if the poker room does not offer less than half a dollar or a dollar as the buy-in value.
Sometimes we may have to exceed 10% if our bankroll is less than $10.

I like to play with a comfortable bankroll, so, for me I need to have at least 100x buy in of the tournament.
