If you just want to kill some time and have fun, then freerolls are fine for that. But if you want to improve and become better, then freerolls wont give you much, because they usually have a very fast blind structure and a lot of players dont take them serious at all. Or at least not until you get to the final table or something.
Freerolls are also not good for “building a bankroll”, because you simply spend to much time compared to the small amount of money, you can possibly win. There are much faster ways to earn money away from poker.
Finally if 10$ really matter to you, then you should probably just go to the play money tables. Any real money poker games other than freerolls involve the risk of losing money, and it does not really matter, if you lose money, you got from spending 100 hours on freerolls or 1 hour on a regular job. Its still your money, and it had a purchasing power, until you lost it.
