Re-entry tournaments

This is not a problem. You can choose for yourself and play in tournaments where there are no re-entries. I also don't like such tournaments and that's why I just don't play them

I like too those tournaments without re-entries , they called ''freezouts'' in case you don't know it.
I guess poker rooms can't remove entirely re-entry MTTs because by having those they can guarantee bigger payouts.
Some poker rooms have the option to 2 or 3 re enties though.

I don't even necessarily hate re-entries but I hate the fact that once Stars made all tourneys re-entries other sites followed. I think about this problem daily...

1) Maybe there would be such an effect in live poker, where people have driven to their local casino to play the sunday tournament, and if they bust, there are only cash tables to go to. But online there are new tournaments running all the time, so playing conservative, just because you cant reenter, makes absolutely no sense at all.

2) I love it, when my opponents play poorly and donk away their stack to me. It you cant afford or handle mentally to bust from a bad beat to a loose player, then its your bankroll management and/or mental game, which is the problem, not their play.

3) As others have said reenter (and late registration) attract more players, which mean, the poker operators make more money. A few years ago 888 Poker introduced a series called "the classic" with no reenter and shortened late registration. And it was a complete commercial failure. They had to take them all down again or reduce the price pools, because almost nobody were playing them. So the fact of the matter is, a lot of people SAY, they want freezeouts, but they dont actually put their money, where their mouth is. And this is why, for instance pokerstars are offering less and less freezeouts.

This was the second hand in a recent freezeout on PokerStars. And as we can all see, the lack of a reentry option did not make this opponent nit up and play very conservatively. He was there to have some fun for his $4.4. And thats fine with me. I have no problem gambling it up with players like this

Rebuys are really good thing to organizers as it makes pot or their income bigger, but for me it`s not a favorable option as I don`t like rebuying myself. Though add-on function is really annoying thing as someone can just from the bottom gain bigger stack than average and be in good position to play further

I agree to some extent, that is I am not a fan of the long late reg and unlimited re-entries tournaments that the likes or stars & especially GGpoker seem to have. But not against re-entries if they are capped at say 2 or 3 re-entries per player and a such I tend to try play the smaller field MTTs on GGpoker these days like the daily bigs and daily turbos as they have shorter late reg periods and I just limit myself to 1 or 2 re-entries depending on the buyin level

When i play at the table i don't care about such things.
I have my stack.
If somebody gives me its stack and after this uses re-entry i'll just will have more chips.
If i lose in this case i just lose.
Everything can happen.

I don't mind them, but they are do change the dynamics. People are going to be way more willing to gamble early, to try to build a large pot or bust and then rebuy.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing, though. It builds the prize pool substantially.

One of the things I don't like about these types of tournaments is that people go crazy trying to win yes or yes betting everything on each play and they lose- they constantly rebuy, or re entry it's as if money is in the way, I don't know, but in general I don't It bothers me to play those tournaments because I always try to concentrate on my game and avoid falling into the mistake of wanting to win yes or yes with any card in order to avoid rebuys, although I almost never do rebuys because I don't like it

I’m not a fan of reentry tournaments either. It allows people to play reckless poker without any legitimate skill set in play. All-in until they get a BINGO!!

Some smaller sites have re entrys in like 100% of their tourneys but on Pokerstars, re entry tournaments are a minority. So if you dont want to play them, i highly recommend PS.

Personally I don't mind re- entry tournaments but wish they would stop the unlimited part. Allowing a player to play again when knocked out early is OK but when you add 4 hours at times of late registration on top of unlimited re-entry is my problem. How many time have we seen players re-enter 8 or 10 times. I was at one where a guy needed to finish in the top 7 just to be a tiny bit short of break even, Its a joke in my opinion.

Bingo players can be found everywhere, in any tournaments. Bingo players don't care about the format, they're just trying their luck. It's not about the tournaments, it's about the players. If you really want something, it's probably better to want all the bingo players to disappear

Sometimes it's unbearable to watch some abusing re-entries, I even used a re-entry myself, I was close to the bubble and ended up losing, it was even good, because I ended up reaching the final table.
