Did anyone make it to the finals playing only AA, QQ, AK-J, KQ, QJ, and middle pairs?

I think the faster the format the more you need to open up your range.

I think it’s very unlikely, given that the turbo tournament can’t wait and it’s not a fact that you will win, you need to play more aggressively here

There is no strategy per se, you just have to be very intuitive in those tournaments and observe how the table and the cards behave:D

This is quite rare in such a tournament. You don't have enough time to wait for these combinations, and I don't think it's worth it in the long run to just rely on the dealer, especially in a turbo tour.

Playing only handful of selected hands in any tournament is overkill ...

if you only play on such cards I think you know that these cards come once in 200 hands and every time you wait for such a hand it will be very painful, and if such a hand loses or accidentally you run into an older couple, then with a small number of chips you will no longer be able to wait for such a card because you already have few chips and ante you eat and you will still have to play with medium and small cards so it's not practical

  • If this is a tournament for 100 people, then yes, you can win it by playing 10-12 percent of hands

There is no reason to change your opening ranges, just because the blinds go up faster. A range like this is ok from early position, but from late position and the blinds you need to play far more hands than this.

The main difference between the game in Turbo mode is the rapid growth of the blinds. In this case, the increase interval can be 3-5 minutes. Of course, such a game lasts much less, there is no need to spend several hours on it. But you also have to make a decision almost instantly. Another important feature of turbo tournaments is a noticeable gap between strong and weak participants. At the same time, the former clearly dominate. It is very difficult for beginners to win, the importance of luck increases, and the usual tactics often turn out to be ineffective. However, this is a great option for lovers of speed and lovers of extreme sports. To successfully play Turbo poker, it is better to choose tournaments with a small number of tables. Let's say a sit-and-go with no more than 50 players. The more participants, the more likely the game will turn into a lottery.

I just play the free rolls and play all in or fold until I have a decent stack and blinds get close to the starting stack (1k). After that it tends to settle into a bit more “normal” play.

NO is the short answer, it's also the long answer... the blinds increase so fast you will be out waiting on those cards so NO

In turbo tournament, you should take risks to win the tournament. This means that you need to play with a wider range and ready to bet all your chips when you just have a good hand.

There may even be someone who has arrived at final tables with only these hands, but you've come more often playing the right ranges, performing tribet lights to maintain your stack. The game of poker requires these moves.

No, you cannot rely only on super cards and super hands! These turbo tournaments are fast games with quick blinds. So you need to be aggressive and careful. Everything happens in less time than the regular games. You play with faith and determination!

With these tips, I'm likely to win a big tournament.:) If that day comes, I'll organize a $2000 freeroll.

It is possible to arrive playing only the premium range. But you will get a lot of chips bluffing
(using fold equity in your favor)
in turbo tournaments you will often find yourself with 20bb less, and this requires a good range pre flop allin fold. Finding the balance in each situation will bring good results.

It's very difficult to run so hot to get so many premiums and hold with all of them in turbos.
Definitely it is necessary to open up your range and take some calculated risks when
the opportunities present them self's.

i dont think it is a good strategy to play TOO tight . especially in turbo tournaments since the blinds will eat you up
