That's too bad bud. I've sort of just come to expect the worst (although occassionally I'll watch aipf play out, and instead of automatically seeing what longshot villain needs to hit (or whatever they might need.. or not need).. I'll sometimes call out random cards instead (ie. Come on 4hearts turn, 2clubs river!!). I know it sounds ridiculous but I've actually had a bunch of these fall just as I've called them (in the past I'd think "Noooooo Nine!!!!".. then BOOM.. a NINE!). Sounds like tinfoil hat stuff I know but for some reason it at least is better for my mindset.

When the bustouts & beats happen in multiples & in rapid succession it can be de-moralizing. I'm working real hard (continuing to do so) thinking more along the lines of > "did I take optimal lines here?" "Did I try to pick up orphaned pots" "did I....... ?" "Can I do more of this .......?" etc. etc. etc. And lately, although I haven't been getting any great results, my head has been in a good space, I'm a little bit pumped to play and feel I've been playing some of my best poker ever! Now I just need a good score to go with it (I'll take the PokerTells book though if that's the best of it, lol).

I'm reg'd for the $55 10-game tomorrow (miniFtops) but know that I'll be pissed at myself for blowing off other responsibilties to play in this tourney (sucks that the tickets are tourney or series specific... at least as far as I know they are???). And because it's 'mixed games' (which I feel I'm decent at 80% of them) I know I wouldn't be able to be multi-tabling a bunch of games and would therefore have my hopes built up on the one game (and then set myself up a bit for dissappointment if I do crap in it).
So.... instead I'm just going to try to satellite into the $216 2-day MiniFtops! (know I'll be way more pumped to play in that one.... I like getting the oppurtunity to sit on tables with the Adam Geyer's, Shaun Dweeb's, etc. etc.).

MofD. Are you not going to play in the MiniFtops MainEvent?!?!?!?! (maybe could be the Big One!!). I've got two entries reg'd now but will probably add a 3rd come game day.
