Just wondering, if you have about 15 bb & pick up one of these hands, in a deep stack tourney, is it ok to go all in? I do & it works out 60% of the time for me, wanted to know CCs take on it?

With 15 bb I am not sure you are getting called by anything that doesn't beat you with that range. I suppose if it is working for you then go right ahead, it just seems a bit worrisome to me.

What do you normally end up being called with in these scenarios?

With 15BB you can go all in with all those hands but it's not profitable in every position, from button and small blind you can go all in with all these hands profitably.

Generally these are all good shoving hands on 15bb and less, even from early position.

In fact,a 15bb Nash range from UTG (9 handed, 10% ante) is:

JTs, QTs+, KTs+, A5s, A9s+, AJo+, 66+.

Nash chart says it all, it feels rough because a lot of the time you’re dominated but 15bb is fit or fold territory so you just have to get there.

with 15 big blinds i think you dont need to go all in...you can play these hands raising on position...

You can shove those type of hands but from positions like cutoff and button if its folded to you and if players behind you are tight on calling of all ins(if you didnt see them pay off 15bb with A4o,K10 etc)

Yes, you can go all-in with these hands in late positions, but I'm not sure that this is the most optimal solution. Especially if the level of blisters grows slowly.

Good point, I usually get called by A10-k or KQ, Kj hands.

I would by be shoving in early position with these at a full table, but I am talking about games like free rolls where calling ranges of opponents is way too wide. CO, button, SB in an in opened pot, shove. How we play these seems so dependant on our opponents calling ranges where hands like AK or even AQ is a no brainer, we shove even when they call wide from UTG and find ourselves ahead pretty often.

with low stack (less than 10bb) i think is a good decision to shove whit those hands but with position and pushing not calling.

personally with these cards I would not go all in from any position, you will always find rivals with better cards than you

Sometimes I risk this type of cards when my stad is small at a final table because the blinds are high and you can not wait long

15 bbs can go most of the hands of the hands, but depending on the position you are.

I find it depends on 15BB early tourney or 15BB late tourney. if its early try to set a trap for maximum potential at winning the pot if its late game all-in shoves are probably your best bet. 15BB late game could be 15k or 30k and the average stack up and around 150K so best to get it in while its worth it for double up odds

I wouldn't normally open shove with 15 bbs but it's not a bad play.

Prob shouldn't go all in with QJ and J9 at anytime except if they're suited after the bubble.

I do not think your statistics are correct, it might work for you in the freerolls but to play real money tournaments or CASH tables you have to be more selective with your cards. If you won with those cards 60% of the time it's just luck

Those are very solid hands. You can play them any number of ways different on different factors like time of tourney, opponents, position, chipstack.

With 15 BB you should be shoving them mostly or folding them sometimes.

I disagree with shoving just because you only have 15BBs. I've made a comeback from just 5-10 BBs by sticking with solid play instead of just shoving. I strongly believe in the chip and a chair approach to poker and shoving just cuz you'r low defies that philosophy. My suggestion would be to bet about 7 BBs. That makes people think you've got a monster and are trying to lure them in and a lot of times they will fold. And if they don't you can always go all-in post flop, or save those chips for a nice chip and a chair come back.

these are hands to raise when 15 bb and definitely not push. what do you expect to call you t9 ? with 5 bb yes but defo not with 15...

Exactly... Ppl go into panic mode wen they get short and shove shit or any ace. I've came back from 9bb to win before and yesteryear a I came back in the 3.30 8max from 5.5bb to reach the money. I didn't win but came 85th out of 690 and won $9

It depends on position at table and in tournament. If I'm on the button and have two tight shorter stacks in blinds I am putting pressure on them if it folds to me. If I'm in early position I'm likely mucking these type of hands.

Open-shove with those cards is 90% of the cases... disastrous. You got the whole table waiting to speak. You don't know who's got AA or KK or AK... they will call you in an instance. Careful even in SB and the button. Stalkers might play AA or KK slow, waiting for a raise or allin, just to trap you. Don't develop a game style based on the replies in this forum, use them as statistical data at most. When at the table, try and make your decision based on opponent gameplay, stack, position etc...

I would not be doing all-in. I usually get up well in the table, and even become a leader thanks to those who prefer to go all-in with hands with small stacks. I call them with hands over A9, either in pairs. And winning of about 5 of 6 hands. But I am writing to you about the all-in against only players with small stacks.

I'm not sure if I would bet all in with JT J9 and taking 15bb, I think with those blinds I'd have a little more time to wait for something a little better, that does not mean I did not bet everything with those cards and that amount of blind, if I've done it, but it's already seeing my opponents and following a little more my instinct, with QK and JQ I think if I would risk a little more

It depends. First is it suited or not. J10o from button with 15 bb or QJo is an ok shove, but from any other position it's either a fold or just a raise. KQo is ok shove from any position except from utg /utg+1, you would need a little bit smaller stack for that.

I don't think so, too early to go all in with those hands, maybe you can steal the blinds from two weak players, but making an all in from UTG-MP-HJ I think isn't the proper movement, you will get called many times and It would be very strange that you were winning.

maybe late position..in early maybe KQs thats all i shove

The difference between JT and KQ is pretty big. At 15 BB you're probably shoving KQ from most positions, but JT I would likely only shove on the small blind, button, and maybe cutoff. In general though, you're not wrong to be shoving your above-average hands below 15 BB / 10 M when you're in position.

With 15 BB i don't think that would be a good idea. At least i won't do that. If i have below 10 BB (say, 5BB to 8BB) then surely i will go for it but on two conditions:
One, i must be in late position &
Two, i must be first to enter the pot.
That way i would have better chance of survival. Other than that i will play my normal game.

Depends on the position, if you are button id shove all 4 of those hands from if first in, u can raise fold maybe j9 in that spot but im pretty sure its still profitable jam aswell, j10 kq 55 are easy jams, and rest depends on the position, i wouldnt shove any of those 4 hands utg in a 9 handed table, my range would be something like A10s+, AJ+, 77+ and then some j10 suited kq suited qj suited 10 9 suited and thats about it.

I think it’s best to go one-on-one with such a hand, because in other cases you can fly. So before you go all in, make sure that there are only two players left at the table, you and your opponent, and go ahead

I'd wait for 10BB or around there with K9s or better.

Questions becomes what do you do when someone puts you all in or re-raises you? Would that be a profitable line with or under 15 BBs?

I agree one should push if those circumstances present themselves but what if they call loose? Apparently the Nash chart agrees with me What if UTG?

Thanks, but it's hard to be that picky when you're so short stacked, 15 BBs. Feel the same about J9 but opening looser than A10..

It’s correct to shove with these hands you just have to accept that if you get called 40% of the time you’re going to be out of the tournament. To win tournaments you need to win flips. You’ll never make it deep only playing the nuts

With 15 bb my shove range is even wider than that. I throw a lot of suited connectors in as well as just about all pairs. I think if you wait around for more primo hands your just whittling chips away and losing all your fold equity. I mean someone with 30 35 bb needs a pretty good hand to call off 50% of his stack so gotta get the chips while you can. Sometimes depending on position I'll even shove greater than 60 % of my range on a 15 bb stack.

Got called by 88 today &/here I am. Definitely could agree with limping the qj on the button feels just a tad bit loose but overall a positive EV play I feel if you go by the math.

at 15bb depth you cant shove the same range from any position I hope you improved..
