Hello all. First post here, so apologies if this is covered elsewhere in the forums. I did a search but didn't find what was looking for.

Basically, I understand the concept of ICM. What I don't understand is how I can realistically apply it to an in-game decision to decide on shoving/calling/folding ranges.

I know that ICMizer has a function along these lines, but not really too enthusiastic about spending close to 1/10th of my bankroll on it.

I know that a free ICM calculator will show me my "share" of the prize pool given my chipstack. And I know that I need to somehow compare this against my EV given my hand and my opponent's range. But I'm a bit lost beyond that.

So if I know my ICM "share" of the prize pool and I know my EV against my opponent's range, what do I do with this?
