bernotas22 --- I know that you like to bash the US. That is your prerogative. Having said that, your response indicates a significant lack of understanding of the issue(s) at hand. The US has tried to prevent US players from playing online poker at all.

Most poker sites, including the most reputable ones, decided it was in their interest to go along with the US wishes, so they "banned" US players.

Having said that, the US doesn't control which sites allow US players. The only reason I'm not playing at pokerstars is because THEY made the decision not to ACCEPT US players. A few sites, however, still accept US players. I want to play online, so I (grudgingly) accept the few options that I have. If the US had a way to stop US players from playing at the sites that accept us, they would do so --- they simply have no viable means to accomplish that task right now.

Bovada payouts are quick, 10 days at most, but the anonymous player thing scares a lot of people, including myself sometimes. i go on major downswings everytime i cash out, and i've heard many peeps say the same thing. who knows.

The "cash out curse" is a myth. It's a function of regression to the mean. Most poker players (current best estimate is 94% of online players) are long-term losers. Occasionally they will run well enough for a while to grow their bankroll and cash out. After their "hot streak" ends --- which is after they have cashed out --- their "luck" returns to normal and they lose again. That's why people think the "cash out curse" exists.

If you discuss the issue with those of us that are long-term winners, you will find that we all agree that the "cash out curse" is a myth.

Good luck.

OK. Perhaps I was wrong about the USA bashing.

Be well.

Good post here. +1 on the Lock stuff too (not playing there while cashouts are so poor).

The USA stuff is a bit OT, but, it's very difficult to generalize the USA. Visit the Pacific Northwest, then head to say, New mexico, then Denver, then Kansas City, then Chicago, New York City, New Orleans, Texas, Florida... you've just entered over a half dozen very different places (unless you just eat at McDonalds, stay in a Holiday Inn ;) )

Aggression online players is fleeting , accidental. I always see evidence of this in the games. For example, I go to the bank , making a raise, and someone else is also willing to fight for it and resorted to repeated lifting as much . I equalizes its rise , but do zero rate , if I do not like the flop. When the turn again, I get an unnecessary card , I either make a bet or increase it, because I guess there are two high cards my opponent , and my climb straight enough tells him that this is my strong hand , and not in it. If he goes ahead and answer my bet on the turn , I was gone, but he usually throws the cards, and I write a column chat " did the right thing ." You can also write a "pair of threes ," which, of course, to convince him that I had a pair of aces .

Generally "controlled' AGGRESSION ... study first the tendencies of opponent and type of player they are and then try to 'be the one in control'.
