Breaks are always necessary no matter what you are doing. I will take month long breaks when things are running really bad. I wait til I have a good feeling that it is time to play again.

I play different games. Cash games, Omaha, and games I haven't been playing. It's good to take a break and take on a new challenge. I usually finds it helps my focus and attitude.

Definitely breaks should be. If you start to play constantly flirting and vigilant in the game.

I would rather suffer a bad beat then know I am making mistakes. If you don't feel you game is at its best then consider taking a break to study or reflect on improvements to you play.

Hello.
In my opinion, the break is the best option in such cases. But honestly, I think that meditation brings more benefits than a break. Meditation allows me to keep my emotions under control.

When a bad streak happens to me. I try to play through it but not without taking a day or two off just to refocus.

Before, i played almost every day, regardless of the result. Sometimes i lost quite a lot, trying to recoup at higher stakes. My biggest loss was about $ 3000 for a couple of hours ))
It turns out cool graphs with sharp jumps down. Who wants to can see what happens when you start to recoup at higher limits. Watch FTP and TitanPoker - BelFish1
Then i got tired of playing and i rested for 3 years )))
Now i started playing again about a year ago on PS.
So far, i'm playing on trifles and keeping only a few buy-ins on my account (from 5 to 7 on average), making regular cashouts ...

I often after playing a bad game or a bad bit go to play in a casino, but this does not bring anything good! you need to be able to cope with tilt and be stronger!

It depends on the reason for the downturn. If I am still playing well and just getting smacked by variance, I continue to play. If I notice I am playing badly or pushing in questionable situations I will take a few days off.

Depends on your capacity to take some bad beats and continue playing in a reasonable way. If you perceive that you are making mistakes because your mind wasn't focused, its better to take a break.

Old me used to play thru it and if I got lucky I would win a minimum, but now I believe just to walk have a drink and let the anger out by buying a pastry.

Break!

It's amazing how much less severe your BR situation feels when you've taken a break to recollect yourself.

If I have a streak down, I will definitely take a break, even if I just sat down to play and lost 3-4 buy-ins, I will immediately exit the game and will not play until at least tomorrow

Hello everyone, I believe that the downstream does not depend on the time of stops. But I think that for offline poker the rule of stopping the game is

it’s not that there are bad or lucky days it all depends on your skill and peace of mind, if you are tired or feel any irritation, of course you need to rest

I've noticed a pattern for me, I will play well and go on good streaks for two to three days and then start to decline and have bad beats.

Is it better to play through these bad streaks or to take a break for a few days?

(This applies for cash games too)
I also noticed this pattern .. there are such days that you have a card .. and you feel like a cool player .. everything turns out .. and it happens that no matter how hard you try but nothing but a loss .. but I unfortunately play to the end .. thinking maybe the fortune will turn to face me ... apparently you should be able to control yourself ...

When I enter a bad run I take a break, let several hands pass to clear my mind and then return to the maximum. So I manage to think more clearly and make better decisions at the table.
