I notice that when I play freerolls, my style becomes more aggressive. When I have to fold, I keep playing. Often, even preflop, I go all-in with a strong card. It is clear that when you do not invest your money, you lose discipline. I don't think this is right. What do you think?

freelols spoil a person from the right path when you play for money, you subtract everything and when you play freelol, it doesn't matter

i take serious all games. freerolls are different games, normally you shouldn't use the same style of playing than you use in high levels.

It is no secret that everyone who is not too lazy to play takes part in freerolls and the format of such a game is usually turbo or hyper turbo. And this means that you can quickly build up a good stack only by playing aggressively. And then a big stack works for you with any more or less playable hand.

My playing style in general always depends on my mood. It's just that if these are games with payment, then you have to hold back a little in one direction or another. But this doesn't always work out.:)

Yes, I also play like that. That's why I find you don't learn much from freerolls. People act randomly there oftem

Good afternoon.I always give my best in every game I play there is no doubt that when I play freerolls I take more risks ,since I´m investing nothing in that gameWhile when I play both real money tournaments and cash games I play them very tight and in some hands I feel under pressure ,especially in cash games.

online or in person, they are very different ways, Freerolls you don't enter with money, your responsibility is to win money, playing for money you don't play weak hands, play the best hands, so you don't lose but win

You have to play different games differently and be able to adjust to which ever style is needed for each game you play. Even when it is not a freeroll, the games at different places or different pay levels are played differently.

I think that at the freerolls I play more spontaneously, because there is no money investment. But I don't think I play without discipline because there is an investment of time which is very valuable too. So freerolls can be a very good experimental poker battlefield where we can try many things with the same responsibility with the money games.

In last time I try to play the same game no matter if freeroll or money tournament. This is difficult by freerolls because many players go often all-in.

Early in a freeroll I am certainly not as conservative, as I would be in a tournament near the upper end of my buyin span. That does not mean, I go completely out of control. But if a spot is at all close, then I take it in a freeroll. The main reason for that is, that a min-cash is usually pretty insignificant, so there is little point in playing for hours just to limp into the money. A "go strong or go home" approach makes a lot of sense in freerolls, and as a default I also expect other players to be looser. So whereas I will sometimes get away from a hand like AK or JJ preflop in a normal tournament, early in a freeroll the chips just go in, and regardless of the outcome I feel no regrets.

most people play differently in freerolls vs huge buy ins, i notice a more aggressive style from players in freerolls, there are lessons to be learnt though

There is no difference for me. But, sometimes, I use a freeroll to test a new game strategy. In this case, it is very profitable that I do not invest money. Although the level of playing for real money and in the freeroll is almost the same. And it's very good that the players are almost all playing hard.

I can also play in a tournament with an entrance of $ 30 (which is not a small amount for me) the way you described your freeroll game, the mood plays a role, sometimes I sit down to play a tournament and understand that I don't want to play, I feel that the game will be a failure for me, and sometimes from the first hands I feel that the game will be successful

It’s both true and sad in my mind. Freerolls are a great opportunity to take our time and learn but we often treat them as a quick gambling opportunity.

Not every freerol is the same as the other. And regardless of whether you play a freeroll or one where you have to buy in the end, the same rules apply as in any poker game. The only difference is that there are more people who play very loose and this can be a disadvantage on the one hand, but can also be an advantage. It depends entirely on what goal you set yourself when you play. In the freerols, too, there are people who play normal poker and don't turn into maniacs just because it's a freeroll. In the freerols, you can also simply try out other strategies because you don't lose anything if you don't make it to the ITM places

I try to play freeroll and tournament for equal money but I confess that I play freeroll a little looser more aggressive but I always try to keep the focus on equal tournaments regardless of whether it's cash or freeroll

Hi.
Obviously, this is the wrong approach. As needed, the style can be changed as needed, but your patience and discipline should always be with you, regardless of the type of tournament.
Good luck.

For the reason that no one invests money in freerolls, the style of play is more free. I never play entry tournaments like I do freerolls.

what happens with freerolls is that we don't lose anything, only the time you invest in playing that tournament, so many times we don't care if it's correct to fold a play and we take risks that we shouldn't or we play more aggressively because the other players they have no intention of playing well and we say ok if that's how you want to play, that's how it will be, is that ok?: no, from a certain point of view it's not ok, but I also think that we have to find a way to adapt because it's very difficult to get freerolls where they play correctly or seriously
