Hi everyone!

I've decided to play the some events of the Hi5 series, when they ran it last time, have no chance for it, and the last MOSS/OSS was a good one, played there several tourneys, so why not try a hole series, even targeting the main events:

  • $5 Million in guaranteed prize pools.
  • 5 tourneys per day for 20 days (100 total).
  • Daily 10-minute ‘courtesy break’ at 4:20pm ET.

Main Event #1
$1,000,000 GTD ($420+30 buy-in)
Day 1 on Sunday, April 11th
Day 2 on Monday, April 12th

Main Event #2
$420,000 GTD ($50+5 buy-in)
10 Day 1’s from April 11th to 18th
Day 2 on Monday, April 19th

Curious about the 'courtesy break, too. I think, it is going to be a good imrovement, even the timing isn't so good.

Here is my schedule, I will post the results in this thread about all the tourneys I will play. Will be good to keep it tracked here, too.

I marked by blue, what I am going to play for sure.

I share here the costs and how I cover it, maybe someone is interested in that one, too.

Early Special 18 x 15 + 1.50$ 297$
(playing for sure the 3 Sundays 15K GTD (3 x 15 + 1.50$ 49.50$)

Hi5 #52 Sat 6 x 20 + 2$ 132$

(playing max 4 of them ( 4 x 20 + 2$ 88$)

Hi5 #87 1 x 50 + 5$ 55$
(only if I can cover it by micro sats)

Hi5 1.50 + 0.15$ 4 x 1.50 + 0.15$ 6.60$

(counting 2 rebuys)

Hi5 6 + 0.60$ 10 x 6 + 0.60$ 66$

(counting 3 rebuys)

Hi5 55$ Sat 1 x 8 + 0.80$ 8.80$

Hi5 10 + 1$ 6 x 10 + 1$ 66$

(counting 2 rebuys)

Hi5 15 + 1.50$ 5 x 15 + 1.50$ 82.50$

Hi5 20 + 2$ 1 x 20 + 2$ 22$

So altogether it costs 444.4$. However, I've started to play sats in the last couple of days, so far I have 2x11$, 1x22$, 1x55$ that's -99$ so 335.4$ left. (As the sats was totally free, covered, because coincidently I registered for a 33$ sat, what i won and automatically registered in the daily 30K, where i reached ITM + won the beast 90$ venom sat ticket, too.:)) Until now it is really great, my bankroll still slowly grows, and next to that, I reduce the cost of this series - don't mention, if I can hit the venom ticket in this evening....

Unfortunately, no 16.5$ tickets yet, now those and the 22$ are the target (even I really hope in the first 2 sat to main 1M event I can reach the ticket), collect as much as possible, it reduce the reg cost a bit.

For the 2nd Main Event, I already have 1 ticket, they will run an 8$ sat, as well, I will give a chance for that, so I would have a 2nd flight chance, if I relegate in the first.

I put here the Early Specials, too, even if it is not part of the Hi5, but the GTD is much higher, especially on Sundays, so I think it is worthy to play. Maybe, I will play few in the weekdays, depends on how many more tickets I can collect in the next few days.

The target is obvious, play both (okay, at least one of them) main events' 2nd day, reach ITM in one of those + reach an FT on any low reg cost tourney, or at least 2-3 FT bubble).

Anything above this is just great surprise.

I will keep up to date this thread, from the beginning of the series. If I am done with sats, share how much I could save in that way, how many tickets are ready.

Anyway, I am curious, what CC members play from this series, too. I saw few of you (them) in the last MOSS/OSS - but I didn't play many, and the fields were huge, so probably saw just a little percentage of CC users. So really what will you play from this series, guys?

I've started the series. The kick off tourney wasn't so interesting, good first hour, after it was more about surviving for money. Relegated with A5s diamond from button vs SB AQo, I was under 10BB... far not the best blind structure, especially not for an 8 max tourney, pretty fast became more gambling than poker... I hate blind structures, when end of the late reg the starting stack worth less than 10BB, it is okay on turbo, hyper, but come on!, even on a tourney like this?? keeps far more people than forcing others buy an other entry...

11$ buyin - 20K Gtd - 292/1320 players, 2289 entries, ITM, won 20.60$

Sats were terrible in the last few days, but today was the top, back to my 'normal', SB, BB 50% have dominated hands over me... + plenty more online poker insanity, do not even want to mention the river flying, never happens in a row like this in live, but online, this is more or less normal... and I don't remember when I got beaten by poker 7 times in a day...+ 3 river 1 out... but don't get upset, frustrated, because it's real....

Friday another 2 low Hi5 coming + keep playing the spec, event sats, hopefully can participate in the Easter spec, too from sats.

Probably, I will ignore Hi5 8# 11$ buyin on Friday, in a series like this, where I want to play 20+ tourneys, I don't want to gamble more than playing poker, and this one is like that again, 4,5 hours late reg (6 min blinds 40 levels, 25K starting stack, in the end of late reg the startin stack worth less than 8BB...) and the GTD is only 10K, but the rebuy is 11$... there are even better daily reg tourneys... no clue why they have 1 like this on a Friday, makes no sense for me...

Unfortunately, these are out of my buyin range. Anyway, they look good, if you play them, good luck, nice FT payouts there, for sure. If the field is similar like on chico 100$, 200K, then there is a good chance to go deep in these. Maybe, I will give few shots in micro 109 sats... but those pretty hard nowadays, too, I'd had to start collect tickets a month ago...

I play mostly low buyin tourneys, few mid buyins, and 1 flight for the 420K gtd, hopefully I can qualify for the 1M gtd main event from the 22$ sats and just looking at the Easter spec, as a 3rd. Actually that's the max what I can comfortably afford.

Just checked the structure, it is nice, enough deep, but the 5h+ late reg... would be a perfect one with 3-4 hours late reg.

  • $5 Million in guaranteed prize pools.

I think the 4:20 Courtesy Break was to match the $420 buy-in
But the first thing I thought myself was how nice to have a Toke break scheduled

I didn't upload the results from last 2 days. So I do right now.

On Thursday, I just saw the spec event sats, and nothing was planned for that day, and one of the satellite looked really good, I registered for it, won the ticket, so I participated in an unplanned event. The Hi5 5# 55$ buyin, 30K GTD, - final total prize was over 40K - the sat costs 26.40$ as it was a 6.60$ but I made 3 rebuys... it is still less than half price for the original buyin. I am okay with that.

The tourney didn't go so well, relegated in the mid way, no ITM.

Hi5 - 5# - 55$ buyin - 30K Gtd - 329/548 players, 835 entries, No ITM

Yesterday had 2 planned tourneys, even 1 of those didn't look so good, mostly because the gambler blind structure, and I was right about it, would had to leave it, unfortunatel couldn't stand out. Pretty fast became gambling, and I lost that. It was the Hi5 8# 11$ Max 1 Rebuy - what I used up...

The other one was pretty good, I was waiting for that, on that low-low level the similar ones with huge field, similar structure went good in the last MOSS/OSS, too.
I late reg for that, around level 8-9, still was playable, wasted the first buyin, as I wanted to double up fast, went in a stupid 3 way allin, lost. After the rebuy made 2 double ups within half an hour, from that point, it was really good, till the mid ITM phase, I was sitting always over 40BB, most of the time over 60-80BB, so was really playable, could go very deep.

In the end, as it started around 2AM in my local time, I was really tired, made 2 mistakes, what put me down under 10BB, relegated with a mid suited connector pretty fast after that. Still blame for myself, could reach FT bubble really easily, if I concentrate a bit more....

Hi5 - 8# - 11$ buyin - 10K Gtd - 1014/1063 players, 1493 entries, No ITM
(1 rebuy)

Hi5 - 10# - 6.60$ buyin - 15K Gtd - 89/1531 players, 2649 entries, ITM, won 32.58$

(1 rebuy)

Today 50K gtd, 16.50$ buyin, in perfect time, big field, good structure, unfortunately the annoying long 5+ hours late reg, but try to get in early, build big stack, so can haunt down easily later on the very late regs...

Congrats in HI5#10,
Made an ICM blunder myself Adi8877 in HI5#7 busting 8 players before the money with QQ V AA good luck in the rest of your events.
I will try some PLO too rake percentage is very low keep it interesting while playing less games seems your $444 budget is way more sensible than my $322.50 budget so far.:top:

Thanks Hugh,

You too, looks like you prefer the 100$ buyin tourneys.

Anyway, I hate that, same like relegate in this way in FT bubble... happened yesterday to me, too... on 16.50$ just right before the money, we were in hand for hand, had 4 BB, I was button with AQs the BB had Q5o.... i didn't get any prize....

Do you plan to play any other event in the weekend from Hi5 or somewhere else?

I like Omaha, but unfortunately, I am not so good in that, playing just micros, always target the FT, top 3, so I make plenty rebuys, it is okay in this way, but the variance is much wilder, so no way I play it on higher level.

About budget, in this week, I played plenty low level tourneys between 5-15$, even that is too wild range for me a bit... the 5-6$ went extremely good, 3FT, 2 top3, but the 10-15$ not really, even there is no real difference in the tourneys itself, but in the buyin costs and prizes, there is a significant one, if it happens opposite, I am sitting on 3-4K profit, but in this way, it is around 0, maybe small profit...

I think that's a good thinking playing only the same buyin costs tourneys - how looks like you do -, but if I would play the 100$, I would play it with a bankroll over 10K. One day my name will be in the registered ones, next to yours...:)

And long time ago in series like this, basically in any series, I always played 40+ tourneys, I think that's enough for balancing the results, anyway we can't play all....

Good luck on these ones!

This is it. I am done with Hi5 series.... earn better money everywhere else, even on micro levels, this was at least the 10th FT bubble 80-20%+ beating and relegating with enough stack for FT.... I have no nerve for it, when we are near to the significant money, winning, then 10 out of 10 times I have much better hand, but some way always a bit higher stack guy beat me, not important what much worse pre-flop hand he has.... and I don' want to mention, this was the only 1010+ pair in the last 4 hours.... so was unbelievable hard to reach it, and 10+ hours, it is 200$ or 3-6K and again this crap, s$cking out sh$t coming... last 2 days 10 out of 10 times in 10K+ GTD FT bubble... in this year 100+ times, total nuts and unreal... and the worst I knew probably I should fold, as I don't play poker, I play some slot machine game.... and usually can reach FT, if have huge stack and from 30-40 players left, I fold everything...

It is not poker, I don't know what hell should I call it.... playing tomorrow for last time on ACR and withdraw all my money and go to Chico and GG poker, F$ck their crappy set ups...

If you don't want to make yourself upset all the time, recommend you the same, on Chico and GG it is not 6 out of 7 days like this....

it is not simply about this one... had 10+ in the last few days, and 100+ in this year.... and, yes of course sometimes, he has AA or any cards what dominates me 75-80%, but that case is just 10-15% of the time, didn't even count in this, I can live with that, in normal way, I can live even with this, but how the similar set ups repetatively happening all the time.... I can't... I have no further nerve for this sh*tty set ups, in key situations....

Just share you, as I don't care it anymore, I max play there CC freerollos, I am not wasting a second anymore on higher level for these programmed set ups. Be sure, it is not bad luck or coincidence, the Russian guy who caught it, and relegated me, knew it too, he finished 3rd because of this hand.... so it was 80-20% 200$ vs 3K$.... and it's ongoing, and 100% not random....

It is the software, the so called random number generator set up, when i recognized in the mid of this tourney, no poker playable dealt cards coming, and the programme's pattern changed, I changed too, I sacrafied some time and money to understand it in the past, and try to apply, as I saw more or less it's working, and the most profitable players do it, play on that. That gave me the clue, as no way they can poker profitable if they 80% play without odds...

So in the last 4 hours I doubled up with this hands, never had any odds, most of them was allin on flop or turn, I was 90% sure about them, so no tilt, coincidence, variance etc...

It is a weird mixture the blackjack card count, card variance, understanding a bit the random number generator and 10% maybe poker... even that 10% useless, in the last 4 hours, this was the only hand what I played because of poker, based on poker... straight away lost....
Here is the hands:

The first one is when I recognized, i don't have to play poker today, in this tourney, again, like 6 out of 7 days. That happened at 21:30 ET time, since that no high pairs come, except the KK, what I lost again that was 00:45 ET so how the hell could even reach this phase?

Really hate it, but not by playing poker at all:

The rest of the hands shows it, and I knew it, lost 2-3 small like this, the rest was huge win, no poker, no odds, nothing like that, simply understanding a bit of the set up of the programme called RNG....

you see the 2nd, 3rd hand here was preflop, and flop allin, and i do it without suited connectors, in given situation, when i see the pattern, no odds, nothing, basically, I dont play poker, you cant win with playing poker

the K2s went allin on turn, no odds nothing... i didnt care, i wasnt on tilt, I exactly new the flush is coming...

The few other small pot winning was bluffing, and bet continue fold, took 2 less than 5BB short stack with 75-25 chance, but also with crappy cards, like Q7o, A9o something like that...

so after 4 hours, when thought, the goddamn program will allow the KK, as the AA 4 hours before was a huge s*ck even this one is that.... bad luck, coincidence, variance, by time it balances etc. all the bullsh*t is pointless, empty meaningless words.... long years ago thats why i left the pokerstars, playing there only freerolls, now the wpn/acr reached that level, too.... if i want to be a programmer or reader I can go to that direction, would be here to play poker, as they dont provide it, how pokercrap neither, then f*ck it!!!!!!!!!!!

they are blocking my internet, cant upload any files, not the first time in the commie free world, free to be a silent last slave, who they can f*ck whenever it is fun for them!!!!!
I am trying to send even this post for 4th time.... coincidence, never happened before, had problem with it....

I am going to post the pictures, whatever it takes!!!!!!

the last one before magic KK

6 out of 7 days you must focus to find out programming patterns, 1 day maybe you can play some poker... and it is not about winning/losing first at all - of course about that too, as i spend my time for that, but it can happen any time, anywhere, if i play higher than usual buyin tourney all the time....

You don't have anything to complain about

KK vs TT and you lost. Tuff break, but I don't see - really what the complaint is about. KKs always lose!! :) either other pp hits a set - or rag Ace hits the magical ace one the flop or river.

Was that KK vs TT all in pre? If so - how was the preflop play - did you open shove and he called with TTs, or did you open - he 3bet - you 4bet jam - and he calls?

If you shoved to a 3bet - you left the hand up to fate - instead of playing the hand. Could you have seen the flop - and possibly gotten away from the hand if the opponent shoves flop, or 3bet shoves turn/river?

must run and hiding from maniac psychos, if you want to survive, live normal..... one more, hope i can post somehow that too.

OK - so you complain that TTs beat your KKs, and in the very next post you show several hands where you hit runner runner to bust better hands.

I get that you are upset that your KKs lost to an inferior hand - although the player probably made a reasonable call with TTs - considering what your stack sizes were, unless it was all in pre - and some players just can't fold a strong pocket pair.

But then you post hands with you sucking out on top pair, and pocket QQs, and catching runner runner to beat AAs and 99s.
Seems your seeing the bad but not the good. KKs lose but balance that with the suckouts you seem to hit often. Its all looks like standard variance.

Wonder what you'd say if you had AA or QQ and lost against those hands you ended up winning with.

Will hate to see you go Adi - you have sucked out on me countless times - and I was looking forward to getting back at you sometime in the future. GL on GG
