Its late in the MTT I am in... one of the other players said it was a crap call. Now mind you the person on my right is sitting out for whatever reason. Reason I called cause I had a good stack to make such a call on someone who is desperate(short stacked).

Would anybody else make this call or also say its a crap call?

It would only cost you about 2200 more which is not even a dent in your chipstack. It was a good call. Looking at it further, you had two overcards, so it was a coinflip.

Under the circumstances I think the call was fine. Sometimes people think they have to call a shortstack when he goes all-in but this is not always a good idea. You have to protect your stack as much as try to knock people off. However 2000 was nothing for you so good call.

If there had been a call to ya, I'd have gone away. But, you have late position and everyone's folding.. with the player being that shortstacked he's bound to make a move with about anything. I'd say pretty much a coinflip whether you're in a coinflip or not.. you may bein 60/40, 40/60, 80/20, 20/80 who knows.. but either way it doesn't cost much to knock out a shortstack.

long story short, good call.

You were already in the small blind and an extra 2k is nothing to your stack, late in a tourney.....easy good call.

Under the circumstances, you would have been a fool not to call.

Good call.

I was at a MTT where the chip leader was in the BB and same situation occured, and he called with a 72o. He only had to call like 400chips into a pot that was near 3k. He lost and people laughed and said it was a terrible call, I was the only one that said he had 7-1 pot odds and it was a no brainer call, he had 2 live cards and was less than a 7-1 underdog. Surprisingly nobody said anything after that...
