dont know if you heard of them but you post the buy in, and say its a 6 seater, all 6 of you play at 4 different tables at the same time, well you get payed for cashing in each, then you get payed for overall.

Remind me to never play in them again lol.
Seriously i dont usually run this bad just wondering if i made any mistakes here thanks.

Erm.. a few things - one hand at a time unless they're specifically related, and please cut the results out if you want meaningful analysis.

That said:

First hand you've already got about a third of your stack in. A shove there from KQ is actually kinda weird unless they're scared of the flush draw, so I'd be happy enough to call that. Reads on the player might help, but I know they're probably scarce in a matrix game.

Second hand reads fine to me too, especially with that read. Just a cooler, you were a favourite when the money went in.

Ditto the third hand - you're hardly going to do anything else when you flop an ace in that spot.

I tried to play the matrix tournaments with play money first to see what they our about. There is way to much happening to be effective IMO. The prize pool is bad. Alot of allin play. I found that when I got down to 2 or 3 tables I was able to play better and did better the second time I tired to play one. I do not like the format I will not play in one for cash.

I agree. After looking at the payout amounts, I figured you had to finish second in two of four toruneys to profit. Not worth the risk.

I love these Matrix tourneys!!! Played them a few times and did rather well EVERY time (I also got my AA beat by a 44 on the river, but this is life...)
Normally, I'm close to doubling my money there, but I agree you must do well (1st or 2nd) in at least 2 of the tables

Principle is simple.
4 tables, same 9 players in all, played simultaneously.
You get 1 (survival) point for every player that is out before you (i.e. finish 1st and get 8 points, finish 2nd and get 7 points and so on) and you get 2 (KO) points for every player YOU take out (i.e. he goes all in and you call and win).
You get paid for every win in the individual tables for getting in places 1,2 or 3 and also you get paid for the overall (i.e. the sum of your points compared to all players)

Example: Winning 1st place in ALL tables will give you a minimum of 40 points (8 points for each table and at least 2 KO points per table for winning the heads up)

It's in interesting concept.
Basically it's 4 tables, with 5 prize pools. The 5th is based on points.
Because of this 5-way split of the prize money, if you only win one table you won't win your buy-in back.

I've had terrible luck. Some nice cards, but terrible luck. Last time I was busted off two tables when I had A/A and shoved pre-flop (one loss to A/To making a flush, and one loss to 6/6 making a set).

It's a nice concept. It rewards aggression because you get points for knocking people out. Unfortunately I'm not that aggressive. I prefer to pick my spots.

Your explanation is a little confusing as it may be near impossible to win one of these tables w/o recording a KO. Try explaining it as the MOST points you can accumulate - which would be 104 in a 9 person matrix (26 max possible pts per table) or 68 in a 6 person matrix (17 max possible pts per table).
At each table you record 2 pts for a 1st place finish, 2 pts for each person you KO plus 1 point for lasting longer than each person at each particular table (survival point.). i.e. You do not receive a survival point when someone is KO'd in match #4 if you've already been eliminated from this match.
So lets say during 9 person matrix in one of your matches you finish 1st and KO'd 5 along the way. For this table your score would be 20. (5 KO * 2pts each = 10, 8 survival pts. = 8, 1st place finish = 2, 10+8+2=20)

Sometimes you get unlucky
I think that the matrix tourny's are great for building bankroll.
If your good you will atleast make you money back more that likely make a couple bucks. I myself have played in about 12 or so and i've made profit in everyone but one. In that one I got half my buy-in back.
I guess it's whatever your comfortable with.
