How would you play from this situation? Villain has been loose and shoving in many similar situations, but has never gone to showdown.

Not sure why you even ask the question. Yes AK would have a bluff beat, but only a bluff beat. Against anything else, even 2-2, you are in big trouble. You have enough chips to play well from here by folding. There is no buyback opportunity like a ring game (where a call may be appropriate). If you put villian's bluff probability near 50%, then call. At those odds you will be getting a good money price to call (since you still lose to a bluff 30% of the time). Otherwise I would fold.

Fold, fold, fold. This is only a big hand before the flop and only then if nobody has a pair. After the flop it`s only good if you hit and only then if the other hand or hands did`nt trip. If you don`t hit the flop fold there are plenty of hands still to come. If you do hit play em the best you know how and good luck!!

I would instantly fold and not think twice. I've been punished by AK, suited or not, more than any other hand. ALL of it's strength is typically pre flop. Beyond that, all you are left with is a very strong drawing hand but a drawing hand nonetheless. Run for you life!!! LOL
