Raise to 450. Let's see who wants to play a big pot. Oh and I'm willing to get all-in on the flop if someone wants. Yes they could have a 5 but the FD is more likely.

I actually like to push preflop with KK/AA after a few limpers on hand 1 of any low $ tourney/SnG. You see it so often from horrible players that people call with lots of worse pairs and Ax hands. Yes sometimes they fold but they call so often that I think it's profitable.

I would say to bet the pot and be willing to go broke with this hand, you will see AQ, AK, and JJ's, possibly 1010 enough to make it profitable.

Open shoving KK preflop in the first level is a way to manipulate a false image but personally I am not a fan of it, most times you are just going to be picking up the blinds. Here you have to limps before you so it is a better possibility, you will get called by AK, AQ, and weaker hands lots.

That's an interesting thought about shoving after a few limpers, not something that would normally cross my mind. But then my PF raise was intended to get at most 2 callers, which obviously didn't pan out.

Post-flop I hate seeing the 20 into 490 type of bet, I never know what to make of it....

If it wasn't the 1st hand I would never shove preflop, but there are so many willing to gamble early you might as well see if your table has one of these players or not when you hold a great hand.

What is FD? And I would also push preflop with QQ-AA here, the benefits from tripling up 60% of the time first hand are really pretty big.

early on especially in low buy in games you have to bet more than usual to have the same results, it is something that you have to always be watching because as a tournament/sng plays out the raise amounts required to 'thin the herd' will fluctuate up and down.

I would certainly but in a pot-size raise here. If one of the two is holding a 5, you're probably not getting off the hand anyway....It could just be a weak bet to see a free turn card, which you don't want to give. Pop it.

If I was up against a 5 I was willing to go broke, there was a slim chance of QQ. I was sure it more likely the flush draw was out there.

I had about 1300 left and a pot bet would leave me 800. So I just went all in. Got 1 caller who had K10c and he hit a runner runner straight - no clubs!

Raise it a lot more than the 20 they put in make it about 200-300. By the way you did well by not going all-in pre-flop (a mistake that a lot of players do just trying to win fast). After that you continue playing hard depending on the cards that follow.

Ok, the BB is posting a min bet, he could have anything at this point. As it is the first hand, you obv dont have any reads on him. The 2 callers could have anything from a weak Q to a fd, I doubt they would flat call a strong Q. If I were you I would make a sizeable reraise, to around 350 or so, which would leave enough behind if you did have to fold this hand. I would probably also fold to an all in from the big blind in this situation, from his posistion he could possibly have the 5

make a pot sized reraise, it is possible some one has a 5 but it is also possible that someone wants to throw their chips at you with Qx

I would say it happens a lot in low buyins. People are willing to pay to see the flops especially in the very beginning of tournaments.

ur probably ahead but have to be wary of the flush draws, gotta make it expensive for them to see the turn...although at these low stakes pot odds dont matter much..
