Nice hand. Doesnt look like he played AA all that badly. Would you have laid down the nines if he pushed pre-flop?

I guess he didnt have many chips to get me off my hand but I was drunk when I made this thread and made sense then.:beer:

Have to agree with this assesment . I don't see that either one of you did anything out of the ordinary. Looks like the cards just fell your way... nice win.

The only mistake he made, in my opinion, was by not going all in. But who the hell these days lays down any pair -- you surely would have called with your nines.

I've improved my SNG play somewhat by learning to dump small and mid pairs when I don't have the proper odds to play them. I'm not fond of small pairs against two overcards in an all-in scenario when the blinds are only 25/50 and I have a decent stack that I want to maintain. But seeing that you had him covered pretty well I don't think yours was a bad play, and really, neither was his.
