ok so i made what i thought was a good bluff and after my opponent told me it was a bad play because i risked too much and he had a good hand and could have easily taken me out. i dont think it was a bad play because i knew he would fold it and took advantage of a good river and read. What do you guyz think?

I dont get it. What did he have that the 3rd 9 would scare away.....55? flush?

i put him on a ten or nothing as well. I just saw a good situation to take big pot and did it.

Why would a ten fold here and consider the river as bad.

You were offering him 3:1 odds to call you down, I can only think he had something like a busted flush draw. With anything more than that, I probably would have put you all in for your last $3K

If your read was seriously that he'd fold to some pressure on the river, then I don't think it's a bad play.
