Seeing this guy playing later on showed everyone he is a total donk - However, let me ask you all this, was I right to call it??
In the CC odds claculator is says I had 63% vs. 37% when I called.... Still, at the beggining of the tourney, was it the right thing to do?

...Look up pot odds vs hand odds to hit. You didn't have the right odds, so you'll lose money in the long run if you keep doing this. Also, its the start of the tournament and stacks are deep...ask yourself 'Was it worth it to go out on a draw that early?'
Above. You didn't get donked out, you made a bad decision.

This was 63/37 favorite not 37% to hit flush. It was a combo draw with 18 outs, 12 of them definite, but really couldn't think fives would be good before calling.
...and can we plz stop with the "got donked at cc" thread titles

He could have a pair of 7's since he raised pre-flop, or another pair, I wouldn't call for all my chips with a draw. A draw like that imo is good to make moves with not for risking everything except when you're ss or have a read on your opponent.

It was way to early in the tournament to go all in at that point for either of you. Because of the donk factor you should wait until later in the tournament to try that move.

Ace rag suited is a marginal hand at best. You could have been looking at AK and the prospect of 30% odds at best. You got lucky when you flopped 62.32% odds. But that was no excuse for shoving a marginal hand preflop. Your opponent playing crap is no reason to play crap yourself.

I normally rarely go All In at early stages of a tournament, but here I really thought I had something, even after calculating the 63% it looks like worth doing on paper, however in the Poker world I should have known better - Thanks for your answers, I have learned and (probably) wont repeat the (same) mistake :)

Yup, that's my idiot friend.......Logged onto my CC account, got password, I yelled at him, he kept going all in, I punched him, ripped out his eyeballs, etc.

Don't worry, it'll never happen again.

lol, its ok, I have gained a good lesson out of this (but please give him an extra punch from me :fight:
