$Freeroll NL HE: TP rag kicker vs draw

CC Freeroll 9/5/2009

Brought myself into a tricky situation by limping Q7c from mid position.
BB is a solid player but no further reads so far in this game.
He checks preflop and on the flop but calls the pot sized bet on the flop.
I put him on the flush draw or mid/bottom pair here.
How continue after turn ?

(and I know that Q7s is a fold usually in MP2 - you needn't tell me ;)).

Stacks:

* BTN with 775
* SB with 1755
* BB with 2835
* UTG with 2070
* MP1 with 1620
* MP2 with 1090
* CO with 1900

Blinds: 20/40
Site: full tilt poker
* * Dealt to MP2:7♣ Q♣
Preflop:
* * 3 players fold.
* * Hero calls [40]
* * BB checks
* * 3 players folded.
* * Total folds this street: 6
* * Potsize: 100
Flop:
* * Q♠ J♠ 3♣
* * BB checks
* * Hero bets [100]
* * 3 players fold.
* * BB calls [100]
* * Potsize: 300
Turn:
* * 2♦
* * BB checks
Hero: ???

I think it's a straight draw too. Therefore, make another bet around 150 to 200.

yeah make a 1/2 to 3/4 pot bet and deny him the odds to draw. If he is on a draw and makes the call he is making a mistake that will cost him in the long run. Sometimes he will suck out on you, but most of the time he will not and you will profit quite a bit from it!

I know a way you can avoid these tricky situations!

I agree - fold preflop - I sense it through the tin foil cap :D.

Q7s is not the nuts.:eek:

For those interested: Hero: Pot bet 300 - villain folds.
