$Freeroll NLHE MTT: Middle pair on the Button: How to play against a raise and a call?

Another hand from the CC FR last night. My thinking here was that I had the pot odds to call and set mine. Anybody disagree? Is this the "optimal" way to play middle pair?

Well, if middle position with a smallish stack wants to flat a preflop raise from a bigger stack under the gun, I'm just getting out of the way with hands like this, also not worth set mining at this point anyway.

Considering it's a CC game, most players are going to be pretty tight early on. I'd likely just fold this hand preflop. Pretty sure it's just spewing chips in the long run to just flat, but i'm not totally sure, i rarely play MTT and never play freerolls so i could be way off, a shove might be good against them here?

A squeeze might have some merit here. The main thing holding me back from saying it's a clear squeeze is that the raiser is UTG. We can give UTG a fairly tight range here which makes light 3-betting a worse idea. I would squeeze here some of the time, that's for sure, really depends on whether UTG is going to respect your 3bet. If you think your bet will get enough respect then a squeeze to like 1k seems decent.

I have no real problem with calling to set mine though. The tighter open range for UTG actually makes the play better because you will get paid in full more often. AKA you have higher implied odds than normal here.

I also might set mine here.

But missing and the A and K on the board, I would fold.
