I think push pre flop is a better move. Your stack is short and with your raise pre flop you need luck to hit a flop, if not you do a fold with 1,000 chips behind.

You are around a 2:1 favourite if you put him on a pair, and he can't be shoving with with much worse, so when you got it in you were a favourite.

I've experienced donkey tards shoving the nuts into me from the blinds postflop after I've raised preflop and they called, so be aware that this can also be a possibility. I got stacked when somebody flopped trips and shoved, unfortunately I had two pair so I had to call. In that case I was way behind post flop, only about a 13% chance of winning by the river. When somebody does this they may not always just be trying to protect middle or bottom pair on a draw heavy board.

You had about as many outs as you can hope to get here, so I would also call and if I can't hit one then that's the way it goes. According to odds calculator you were ahead 57% to 42%, so you got your money in when you were ahead and that's what counts.

With just the OESD and the Flush Draw, you are already ahead. (15 outs)
If he only has one pair you will also win the pot with an ace. (18 outs)
So easy call.
