Check. You surely would not consider betting here?

I would check this. If someone bets more than 3BB before the turn, I'm gone. Too much danger. If no one bets and the turn comes OS I might make a 5-6xBB bet. I can try to price out the draws at this point. Reads are very important with a hand like this. I wouldn't be willing to put much into the pot unless I had a good read on the table.

4 players in the mix including you. Unless you bet massive here sugggesting you have a heart suited ace or the str8 flush, you are going to be called by anyone with the Jack of hearts plus and possibly/probably anyone with a str8 draw, not to mention re-raised by anyone with 2 higher hearts, say J+.

I would suggest check, see what the action was, and be prepared to bet on the turn.

Didn't take your advice here. Villian has been a big aggressor during game so I was pretty confident he didn't have any heart.

OK. So your bet got rid of two who probably didn't have hearts.

Are the alarm bells ringing because villain hasn't re-raised you? It looks to me he has some sort of a draw or is laying a trap.

I don't get the point of not betting the flop.

If you don't bet, are you going to just wait and wait, calling only those bets that don't look like a higher flush? That works well for someone sitting there with Jh. I can see that with 4 seeing the flop, once you bet and someone calls, the next person gets better pot odds, so if say one person has a made straight or two pair and they call, they give the following person pot odds to call with just a single high heart.

I think a 1/2 pot bet at the flop, to eliminate those who have nothing and hope that someone doesn't call and give a later position pot odds to call as well.

With one player left at the turn, another 1/2 pot bet to make the remaining player make a mistake if he's still drawing to a higher flush.

If your read on the player is good and he isn't likely to have a heart, then hopefully he was chasing a straight and has hit. If he's aggressive as you say, he may re-raise and you're in great shape, but that'll hinge on your read.

Ok I was pretty confident that he didn't have the heart. But now with the str8 draw I knew he was going to bet. I just had to bait the hook.
