TENBOB ????

Flopped baby flush, Plus1Plus1 likes to bet into scary flops, hes taken down numerious paried boards uncontested. How he reacts to some resistance is yet to be seen. Rivr_Raptor is your typical low limit calling station, and will call down any bet with a heart.

My table image is a total rock, after spending over an hour card dead, i woke up with AA twice in a row, and doubled up both times.

You're almost certainly ahead here. A priori odds of someone else having 2 hearts are about 1 in 20 (2*1:40). Someone holding 1 heart however is a different story.

So bet to make calling to draw a 5th heart a mistake. This would mean offering pot odds of under 3:1. I'd make a 3/4 to pot sized raise here.

Step 1: Call.
Step 2: Turn the 8 of spades.
Step 3: Profit!

You could play it a couple of ways. Raise to try to get rid of single higher hearts. Or, slightly safer, is to employ a kind of rope-a-dope and hope no heart comes on the turn, so just call. Then you may get another bet out of your opponent if he bets into you and you raise, and it's easier to deny your opponents the odds to draw out. Plus you haven't wasted as many chips if another heart comes. I'm slightly in favour of raising the flop as you'll probably get calls from single hearts. Then if no heart on the turn, all-in.

I like it :) A raise on the flop, to encourage some callers, but not enough to commit to the hand if we get a bad turn. The push at the now big pot on the turn if a safe card falls.

Results.

Small raise to encourage some non commital pot building, pushing a safe turn card. Calling=bad, overbetting=good cash game play/poor tournament play. (Me thinks)

Nice play.

I can see the theory in the strategy; I'd have difficulty pulling the trigger on the turn though. That's probably why I'm an accountant and not an venture capitalist. :)

I tried it, early on.

Felt like a fish out of water (pun intended). I couldn't read anything from the unform bets.
