Pretty annoyed. This guy sucked out a lot of people on all ins when he had the inferior hand on the flop. I'm in for 1/3 my stack, this guy calls with a K7 and pushes me all in on the flop. Did I make a bad call?

I felt that while I was not pot committed, that I was at least getting my odds. It was a rainbow board, so he wasn't on a flush draw and maaaaaaybe a gut shot straight draw.

Id call here too coz blinds are 200/400 and ud have like 2750 left if u fold. That amount aint bad tho if u look at other players stacks. But the mention of that this player sucked alot on other players makes him loose player and you flopped the top pair calling is right decision here. Just bad luck in the river.

Lol I saw this! I'm CantStopTheNutz and I was talking during that if you remember..anyway you had a read on him that he wasn't that strong of a player and would make that type of move with a marginal hand. So you get sucked out on the river...I know it sucks, but it happens.

this hand should have been folded preflop. If you are this loose then the call by the villian was not unreasonable as it appears you could have been betting with A2 as likely as J9.

pretty annoyed is right. This is a easy preflop fold. But with just 9 BBs, you make a standard raise on the button, with not a marginal hand, but an inferior hand??? Plus, both blinds have you covered. I'm baffled by that ...

The easy way to bust up maniac players, is NOT be a maniac yourself (play their game), but to play TAG poker, and be aggressive with your good cards, or even do a little trapping. Tough to do with a short stack.

As a short stack, give up ur position with inferior cards and look for better cards in the next orbit, before the blinds eat you away.

I think you should have either folded pre flop or all ined after the flop exactly in order to scare these calls away...

Yeah, I would definitely muck that hand pre-flop. Sure you were near the button, but I would instantly fold that hand.

its not a bad call but its a loose call i would say. if you were going for the win and didn't necessarily need to cash but were looking for the huge payout then i agree with that call.

You have like 9bb's pre & are otb
This is a shove pre.
Once we instead raise '3x' & hit TopPr., we're obviously never folding ever. (folding would be horrendous).

I agree, I think the correct play is to shove preflop. Your chip stack was so dwindled that you had to pick a hand and go. It wasn't a terrible call by the other guy, you just have to shove preflop. You really don't have enough chips to try to raise preflop and keep chips in your stack. If you don't want to shove preflop as your raise, then fold the hand.
