I checked the flop, ready to call his shove, or just get a free card and see what we're working with on the turn. Shoved on the turn with Flush Draw, double gut shot straight and 2 overs if villains have KQ/KJ/QJ.

What do you guys think of the play and what would you guys do instead of how I played it if you have a different opinion?

Would you call if he shoved on flop?
I'm for some reason iffy and indecisive about how I played this hand since so many draws =/

I checked the flop, ready to call his shove...
With your stack and still having about 6000 is you lose, then yes. But with closer stacks, no. That flop has danger cards and your overs may not be good.
Shoved on the turn with Flush Draw, double gut shot straight and 2 overs if villains have KQ/KJ/QJ.
Definitely with your stack, but only "maybe" with closer stacks. The 2 overs still might not be good and I don't like risking it all on a draw that isn't fully solid. But I might just be a nit.

Good hand, as played. But next time, post without the results. It's too easy to post opinions when we all know the outcome.

True, was kinda in a hurry and I didn't bother checking it and crap. But I agree with you if it was just the beginning of the tournament.

No matter what we would have done it would not have mattered since he went all-in on the turn. You played just like a pro should and got lucky by picking up a running flush draw. Congrats.

actually mkiv77 is completely right...shove this preflop to iso and if street wants to come along good for him as he doesn't threaten your stack. Cold calling this preflop is horrible as you can just get in retarded dry side pot situations with the player to act and if the bb shoves preflop you can't fold anyways since he is so short. No need to be arrogant towards another poster, especially when what they say is correct.

I personally would have re-raised to try and isolate all-in.
You already had it in mind to call a shove on the flop.

It is a fine play. You had plenty of outs and hit. It obvioulsy worked out in your favor. On this hand you needed to take a gamble, you were nearly a favorite probabbly. SO good play and hope you won

Raise

I also would have raised pre-flop to Iso.I would not want to be faced with that kinda flop play.I simply would have pushed all-in and if the other guy wanted to come along great if not this is also fine.Turns out you played it right or hit runner runner for the flush but either way you won the hand.I would Iso though, just my opinion.

A pre-flop raise would have sorted it out, I agree.

Jam pf to isolate. As played you're lost when he calls behind.

I was going to say WTF, shove preflop but you've been flamed enough.

If you check the flop and he shoves, you pretty much have to call with your overs+gutshot+backdoor draws because of pot odds anyway. So get it in when you're way ahead.

well everyone is flaming with shoving pf so I wont suggest it, the only problem is if he shoved on the flop and then your getting about 3-1 pot odds and a whole bunch of potential backdoor outs, course you can play against his all-in because you have a cushion of 6k left if he doubles up. if your stacks were closer I would probably throw it
