Honestly I didn't have any reads because powers behond my control had me sitting out for over an hour. Hard to explain why but I got back in later with a decent stack that I had accumulated before I had to sit out.

This hand here is where I got back and played it not knowing what to expect...

i think i push here. Gotta go for the gusto. I'm thinking he's trying to steal and get a small/medium pair or maybe an ace heads up against the all in guy.

Push QQ. There are two main possibilities here.

(1) 'Crazyconger' is a lucky donk who's been overaggressive with marginal hands and got lucky, hence his big stack. If this is the case, his raising range is wide.

(2) 'Crazyconger' is a pretty decent player and is raising to isolate with the guy who is allin. Again, his raising range is wider than usual.

My money's on (1).

Limping UTG with QT is horrible by the way.

Yes agreed... I just got back from sitting out and figured since the bets were low enough to keep me around with such a horrible hand, might as well take a shot with it and play it.. hence why I said it was crazy

Crazygonger`s quite likely got a hand like Ax, which would make you about a 70/30 favourite, but without a decent read on the guy it`s dangerous to go up against the chip leader, and he has enough chips to feel comfortable about calling any bet you make.

My decision would be based on the strategic situation. Where do we stand in the tourney ? Are we in the money yet ? If we call and lose, how much is it likely to cost us ? If we double up, how much is it likely to earn us ?

I did the smart thing... only 2 hands that will beat me right here and now are AA or KK... any call on those hands and I am almost sunk.

Other than that, I do what I did and pushed

Noted him down for a next time that he over values A,K and won't ever let it go. A.K isn't and ever will be the bomb..

Well it was $7470 for him to call about a $13000 pot. Unless he thinks he's up against AA or KK, he easily has odds to call. If he thinks YOU thought he was raising to isolate, he may think you think he doesn't have a hand as good as he does (I know, that's heavy stuff). Thus despite your re-raise push, I can't totally blame him for not instantly putting you on AA or KK, although I would have strongly considered the possibility. He had a huge stack, so that of course may have influenced the decision.

I'd have pushed in the same situation... you're only not favourite against AA and KK, and AK is a coinflip. I'd also have called with AK. Didn't do anything wrong. Sometimes poker is just luck! ;)
