I dont think it was. Most of the time with a small to mid pocket pair you are only set mining anyways, so why call off a fifth of your stack just to see. That said, I just love making sets on people that raise heavy before the flop, so I can see calling as well. It is early and you have plenty of time left, either way.

Good fold.
When I'm faced with similar situations, I like it when there are 3 or more callers to justify a call.
I know you are a better player than to ask us such a trivial question, unless a 6 came on the flop and your being results oriented in your question.

Wouldnt you be worse off if more people were in the pot (maybe AA would be the only one where this isnt the case and that is open for debate imo)?

(Edit: is that sarcasm and I am too slow to realise...? )

I meant with such a high preflop bet, you would need at least 3 callers to even think about playing for set value because then you would be getting like 3-1 or more on your money provided you have a decent stack size(should have elaborated on stack sizes).
Sure that was a large preflop bet but with enough callers, setmining becomes very inviting IMO

Oh I understand. I was thinking of it from the standpoint that we were set mining regardless, though I understand that the hand has enough value to go to showdown against villian the way it is...

standard fold, nowhere near the odds for set mining, the raise would have had to have been 120 at the max for you to set mine

It's kinda hard to tell if the post is even serious. Ofc you have to fold this everytime unless you want to shove and gamble.

You're very shortstacked so even if you did hit the miracle set you have absolutely no implied odds whatsoever since you only have 1k behind. And you are obviously getting horrible pot odds with a raise that size.
