Man that sucks to play all three correctly and just get terrible flops...
Maybe it's time to break for the day.

At least look on the bright side, if you were playing cash we can assume you would have lost more than the 2.20 buy in you paid. :)

Bad thing about the 3rd hand is even if A/rag called (which so often happens) you were hosed then as well. crappy crappy board

1st one sucked, but that often happens with KK. Last one was bad.

but i'd have called the 2nd one - if he's got a King i'd have thought he'd be more likely to call behind you rather than scare you off. And is there any point continuing with 940 chips when one player has got over 4K (I see 10 mins later you were down to 500 - even if the Queens held up you were in poor shape)?

If he's got a King, then he's got a King, but if he had raised you preflop, you'd be all in anyway.

and you are small stacked again

He shouldn't have been able to shove every hand, you should have already have been all in before him.

I remember playing you on a final table in a CC event months ago - It was you, me and DJ11 i think, and we all started 3 handed roughtly the same.

Next 25 hands, I won about 20, DJ11 took the other 5, and you just let yourself get blinded out of the game.

You have to take a gamble - push with rags. That's more than likely what your opponent was doing, and he was picking up a fair size pot each time, as no one had good enough cards to call him.

i

i got small stacked for calling a marginal hand OOP and had to let it go after the turn. i took a stand with my 6's. i gambled.

your poker prowess and aggression is far greater than mine. it's no secret that i am not the best player here. and to be fair that was one of my first CC buy ins and i was a bit nervous. i've come a long way since then.

but he didn't raise me preflop. so this point is moot. he could of hand KQ and wanted to see a flop as cheap as he could.

yes i do see a point in continuing with only 940. do you always just give up when you get low on chips because i don't. i've come back from a far greater deficet that that before and won. i took a CC tourny last weekend in a come from behing fashion.

do you always just give up when you get low on chips because i don't.

it's not giving up, it's taking a chance that your hand is good. I'd take a 33% of having 2,200 chips over a 100% chance of having 940 on that table. And I think your chances of winning are higher than 33%.

I don't think i'd be facing the choice though - i'd have bet a little more preflop - 3Xbb isn't really enough when there is a caller already in the pot. And a bet of 180 into a 450 pot post flop looks timid to me (and probably did to your opponent) - I'd have bet more and if i'd done that, I wouldn't have enough chips left to fold.

preflop, i bet more than the pot. i'm sticking to that bet. i have aces i don't want to over bet the pot. i do want some action.

postflop, 2 kings come out. lets see, who is calling me preflop first. KQ, KJ, K10, probably any small pair, are my guesses. KJ and K10 is pushing but it's within his range. KK will most def reraise me. so the flop come KKx, vilian checks, i bet 180(you are right, i should have bet more, at least half or 2/3 of the pot.) to see where i stand. he raises me. check raise. first though. get out of the hand, you are way behind. i'm not a numbers guy but i'd be willing to bet that in that situation i am behind most of the time. i think the only way i can avoid this situation is to push preflop and be happy to take the blinds.
