This is the 10th hand of the tournament...MP+1 has a VPIP 40 PFR 40....not that relevant given the numbers of hands played.

Would you guys call here pre-flop with A10o?

Happy to give my five cents. Take with caution though. 🤓🤣

In general, I wouldn't even open ATo from UTG+1. But since you're so deep, it seems okay to me.

But I'd also assume I'm behind with a 3-bet. We can assume he has a better Ace or maybe a decent pocket pair like 99+. Especially since his 3-bet seems quite large with nearly X4.

So I would also fold here.

There are two schools:
- you fold because this is no multiway and you are getting bad odds, which is a standard, nit and proper way of doing things,
- you reraise given how deep is this and that this hand is actually good blocker, two broadways on flop and you have some draw which you can use as starting point for a semi bluff, also an ace on flop means only two left in deck.
There is also flatting and checking what's on flop, though it's a bit passive given villain is an aggressor.

You are always supposed to fold the bottom of your opening range to a 3-bet, unless its an undersized one like a min-click, where you can call any hand based on pure pot odds. So a really good starting point for this thought process in real time is "where in my range is this hand"? And as Andyreas say, you are actually a little out to lunch here by even opening this hand in the first place. Normally you should only open AJ+ or suited aces with this many players to act behind you. So this is pretty easy fold. The tough one would be what to do with AQ, where honestly you could still argue for a nitty fold to stay out of trouble and preserve your stack.
