Hand #1: Fold. KK doesn't play well in multi-way pots. Need proof....ask anyone who plays freerolls how many times their KK had been cracked.

Hand #2: Fold. You are probably dominated by an A-Q or an A-K or a high pocket pair. Plus you have bad position on Quebec33. If you are going to fold this hand your M=10-ish you need to find a spot to shove.

That's my non-professional opinion.

I'm having a very tough time folding KK in hand 1... I know it's not as much a favorite in a multi-way pot as it is in heads up, but unless someone's holding AA, it's the favorite pre-flop... Also, with the multi-way pot, I'm hoping two players are holding Ax, which reduces the odds of an A hitting the board...

Hand 1, please don't minraise, you kill a kitten every time you minraise. Raise that to 1600 and get it all-in if you can.

Hand 2, Since it is a freeroll I doubt you can squeeze out everyone else so I'd call and see the flop. Get it AI if the flop is ST8, AJ, J-high or a naked A.

this was not a freeroll, it was a re-buy tournment for a seat at the 5k guarantee.

Hand one:

You say this is a rebuy tournament. Was the rebuy period still going at that point, and further more were you prepared to buy anymore rebuys? Without confirmation I'm going to guess due to the amount of players in the pot that rebuying is still an option. As players are playing looser, it decreases the chances of anyone having pocket aces. It also increases the chances of people having AX and so cancelling out each other's aces. People are also likely to be playing other pairs in the hope of catching a card and scooping the pot, or the lack of others catching a card.

As mentioned before, kings do not play fantastically in multiway pots - but despite this the other players' combined outs are not staggering. Let's make a hypothetical situation: LOOK361 could be playing AK and trying to just get people to fold out of the pot. QUEBEC may be playing a high pair, and for the purposes of this scenario I'll place him on QQ. Even if he's playing aces the sidepot will be large enough for you to have some "light at the end of the tunnel". 392JIM could have 77. With runner runner straights and flushes excluded, that leaves the joint opponents with 7 outs - and multi-way point or not that's still quite good odds for you to take the pot, roughly a coin flip I believe.

I better just give Hand 2 some analysis before making my decision.

Hand 2:

First thing to note is your stack is currently 23x the BB. Not short stacked as of yet. The second point of note is that you're the first to act preflop. Upon seeing AJo I would be quite tempted to simply fold and wait for a better spot from the off - perhaps stealing the blinds when I reach late position. There's no urgency to play AJo out of position because, as mentioned previously, you're not short stacked.

However we'll ignore position, and play the hand anyway (doesn't it look pretty?). A relatively solid 3x BB bet. Two players call, then 392JIM raises all in. 392JIM has lost the past hand, and is likely to be desperate to simply get knocked out so he can rebuy, or else wants to take a desperate gamble to get his stack back. Either this or the other extreme that he actually has aces or kings. Whilst you're not short stacked currently, calling would leave you potentially in trouble with a third of your stack gone. What's more, you don't want anyone other than you and 392JIM in the pot meaning you can only fold or raise all in to attempt to get the other two players to fold. If one of them calls it could leave you requiring to rebuy to leave the tournament.

Despite looking very pretty, AJo really isn't a fantastically strong hand. Even 72o can take it down relatively easily. Ontop of this, it is dominated by AQ, AK, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and is beaten generally by lower pocket pairs. By moving all in here, even if the other two fold, you are setting yourself up for an easy bad beat from practically any other cards. Therefore folding is the only option open for you, and you can win back the $300 you betted in another spot.

Summary:

So to answer your question if I had to shove with any hand, I would shove with the KK, in the first spot. I would fold in the second spot before I'd even got money into the pot. I'm not entirely sure if this post will help you in anyway, but I'd be relatively pleased if I gave the correct answers.

My apology, from the hand titles it looks like a $100 freeroll. Please post this type of info when posting hands.

If these 2 hands were during the rebuy period then AI for both.

Hand 1: Three raises to all-in preflop? One of them has to have AA, so fold. If the pusher had a much smaller stack, I would be willing to say he's trying to squeeze, but with the big stack, he should have a monster (AA).

Hand 2: This is a harder one, mainly because your positional disadvantage would have been erased if you called, but with another person in the pot, you could easily get muscled out, especially if the big stack decides to get involved. I'm not worried about the shover, as he's on the blind anyway, meaning he needs to recuperate his lost blinds to stay alive, so he probably is shoving with mostly anything. I'd fold this 40% of the time and 60% shove or raise about $3000 if you had more than $10000. This is a raise on top of your eariler one, so it indicates continued strength.

1. Hand is a AI especially if there is still rebuys.

2. hand is a call it's only like 500 more, and the see what happends on the flop, and you are involved in the hand, this should have been folded preflop AJo is not a wonder hand with 6 players to act after you. And you should for see that SB would shove if he holds anything, so basically help the other players to get him out, as you did involve yourself in the hand.

I'd say you got relatively lucky in scoping that second pot - but well done on that none the less.

Though I bet you're kicking yourself for not going in with Kings. ;)

What was the buyin in these tournaments ?

ye you were oki on the 2nd hand, but I don't like the play, I would guess it is a low buyin, since both Quebec and LOOK calls your AI, they can't do that.

Make a not to myself: HMMMM maybe I am tooooo tight

thanks

these 2 hands were from the same tourment it was .10 and .01 rebuy tournment satellite to the guarantee $5k that day.

Yea the first hand when i saw everyone flip their cards i was kicking myself, but on the same part i actually thought someone had aces just the way the hand was played. So that is why i push that second hand just because what people were pushing to the kind action that was happening.

thanks to all taking their time to put in their two cents, i shall have more for all of you;)
