This guy was opening what seemed to be like every button or sb. just stealing high. So i wasnt sure wether to 3 bet him or call him. and on the flop i was planning to check raise his c bet cus he most likely will c bet and i think my hand good. And yea i just bet small on turn because i think he has a weak range here and trying to maybe let maybe 5 or 2 peel another card and check back river cus i dont think he is going to call much maybe i could make another thin value bet on river. i dont know. But im wondering if i shud 3 bet this stealer pre? and maybe any mistakes in the hand.

3bet pre if you feel he is stealing wide, JT is a great hand to 3bet out of the SB with as we are less likely to be dominated. x/c the flop and re-evaluate the turn, you only have 1 pair and are OOP plus a click back doesn't get him to fold very often, if you're going to x/r the flop size bigger. As played, turn bet is fine, river check is fine.

If you say what BUT have high steal why not 3bet him , big chance that we can get pot already in preflop... But my opinion call or 3bet its fine game...
About postflop sayd nothing , played correctly...

3bet is ok but prefer a flat if hes really loose as we can catch him postflop with stuff that we dominate like all his j8 j9 t7 t8s type hands. I prefer 3betting with things that dont have a positive ev flatting.

This is the one spot where he has position on you and JToisn’t in your calling range, fold. Butsince you decided to play it a 3 bet would have been better. A check post flop out of position on a dryboard is weak, Cbet that 2/3 the pot. Hewould have folded at that point cause he wouldn’t have pot odds to continuewith his range. Plus he only min raisedpre flop so he started off weak to begin with. Are you check-raising to extract or to semi bluff? Top pair T seems too small to check-raise for extra money and too big tobe a semi bluff. IDK though, I am knewto this and haven’t read anyone else’s response! I haven’t used the check-raise yet, curiousto know the outcome. I need to get awayfrom being outcome based.

Now that I read the other responses the only thing I would do diff. is 3BET. My first response seems dumb now, but hey, I am learning...hopefully!

What did villain call your check raise with? And a decent turn bet? Did he have something like 99 or 88 or 66? If he's looser than that then I might not 3 bet him light in future - better to trap and just let him call off his chips with junk.

I think you were right to check the river with top pair medium kicker - too much risk of getting raised off on the one hand and he might even try and bluff it if you check to him - check call seems the right approach.
