$11 NL HE Deep Stacked: Tight passive player Shoves. Am I good here?

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 20/4/0.8

Reads. He is very weak-tight/passive post flop with 100% fold to Cbet over ~160 hands and in general just bad.

Given the read you have this flop/turn lands squarely in opponents range. IMHO a check-behind on this turn was warranted here given opponents stack size. Your bet made it super easy for the opponent to put the pressure on you. Weak-tight/passive is not going to shove here with anything but a Q or JJ.

You have to call as you are being given such great odds (~2300:~870 or 2.5:1 basically) that villain only needs to have a J around 30% of the time and if you factor in the rare occasion they might be bluffing with AK or something you are only getting slightly short of correct odds I reckon, and having a decent stack I call it but villain shows a Q very often.

I say easy fold based on your read.

That's what I thought. I eventually folded. Then afterwords, he tells me he had KJ and sounded very sincere. This after I told him I folded KK and that He had a Q or JJ. I ran through the hand and the play again in my head and still cant see anything in his range that shoves here that I can beat. So I came out here to get some opinions if I could find a call (Other than purely for odds because an extra 850 is still a decent chunk of my stack that I don't want to just hand away)

Also, I regretted not checking behind as soon as my bet hit the table.

Why didn't you cbet the flop? If he fold, that will just keep his 100% fold to cbet. And if he calls or raise he got a piece of the flop most probably a Q in his hand.

if you only had $1517 and hit trip queens on the flop, you'd definitely check to the raiser for the check-raise. So if he had cbet the flop and the guy check raised with the trips it wouldve just been a waste of money.
