$1.10 PL O Deep Stacked: PLO 1.10 FTP - Was I wrong to chase hoping the board would pair?

I didn't think much of his Flop and turn bets here. If the board pairs I am pretty much golden.Seems to me the odds are worth chasing?

I know dorkus said no results but I am not looking for advice on how to play this hand as much as I am the odds and whether I should have been chasing.

Are you familiar enough with the villain to know he wouldn't just be flatting your raise with AA here instead of 3-betting preflop? If he does have AA in his hand, obviously he has you crushed all the way.

Assuming he does not have AA for top set but instead has a small flush:

Your call on the flop was good especially because the villain bet so little -- 120 into a 465 pot. If that's the case, your equity is about 35% and you're getting almost 5:1 to call. Even if he had bet full pot you would have been getting very nearly even money, though I wouldn't advocate a call in that case.

On the turn he also bets small, so you have to call 180 to win 885. Your equity there (again assuming he has a flush) is about 25% and again you're getting almost 5:1 to call, which is plenty. If he bets 350 (about half pot) or more you should fold.

This also assumes he wouldn't be betting out with bottom set or top two pair, in which case you're ahead all the way. There could be an argument made for check raising the flop since he bet so small, which could indicate a weak made hand, but if he gets stubborn with a non-nut flush it could end up costing you more chips than you'd like to commit.

Thank you very much for the response. I will keep the check raise in mind for next time around. The other thing I think about it maybe I should have made a pot size bet when I flopped the K.

Check raise the flop??

with so many players in preflop, chances are, someone made the flush..... trips are usually beat here, but the price he is laying you compels you to call and hope that the board pairs, i think you played it good...

maybe raise more preflop?
