Personally I lean towards a call here, since you are very short, your pot odds are decent having already posted the big blind, he is likely jamming any two cards, 97s is rarely that much behind, and dubbling up will put you at least somewhat back in the tournament. But folding cant be a big mistake either, especially if there is a payjump with 1-2 more players out.

To really answer this you would need to know the pay jump amounts, when they occur, are there any other shorter stacks in the tourney, etc. On face value though just looking at it I think this is the spot you are actually looking for when you are 6 BBs deep. We get to play a heads up pot with someone (based on their stack) that is probably jamming very wide from the SB and we have a hand that has connectivity, is suited and much more likely than not live meaning it is not counterfeited. I would call here (unless next payout is huge which I doubt since it sounds like we are in 12th and the payouts usually wait a little longer to get big) and if we are going against anything other than pocket pairs 77 plus I am happy. Even if villain were to flip over AK here I am not mad. At only 6 BBs, we need to go with a hand that we get heads up, especially one like 97 suited.
