Hi guys, please have a look a the hand that I played recently just before the bubble.
What could I do better ? What other questions should I ask myself when acting on the flop?
My read on Dima3303: he would play many hands from this position preflop rag aces both suited and unsuited, suited connectors 54+ and K8+ Q8+ T8+

with any pocket pair and Aq+ he would probably raise ( unless he wanted to trap me)

what game is this? a 27 man or something?

how many paid.

This is generally overplayed, think the raise preflop puts us in a postion where we feel committed to the hand postflop. So raise smaller preflop, and get away from getting it all in with only second pair, check back more often and pick up smaller value from bluffs and keeping things small where it's hard to get value from worse, but easy to be beaten by better or have a villian who has solid equity vs your hand.

Pre-flop I prefer a min raise just to keep the pot a bit smaller with a marginal hand. The hand would then have played out differently.

Post-flop you have already got your read which puts plenty of hands with a 10 in his range so you can't be fully comfortable with second pair. There is 1950 in the pot and you have bet 2/3 of the pot. I prefer a check back here to try and get to a cheap showdown but even a smaller bet would have been better as the villains action would have given you more information for the rest of the hand. As played for me the check raise is an instant fold as it's pretty unlikely that the villain, no matter how aggressive, is bluffing off half his stack in this situation. You still have 11BB to wait for a better spot.

Generally overplayed but I know I've done the same before and no doubt, despite knowing I shouldn't, I will likely do it again!

convert , I think is best for visualizar. and do not place the result, thus it will be better comments, for example I now saw that the result, could say we have the second pair is better to give up on the flop.

thanks for converting, I'll post hands in the simillar format in future.
Overall, I almost never check behind with second pair and top kicker, mainly because like in this case I am too afraid that a jack, queen or king will fall on the turn, and I'll be in trouble and also because there is a straight draw on the board and I want to give villian bad odds.

Preflop: Your thinking is correct in that A9 is well ahead of his limping range and so a raise is in order here. As others suggested, your raise size is too large for the stack sizes though, as the pot will get big fast and you'll find yourself in some big pots with marginal holdings quite often. I would probably raise to about 700 or 750.

Flop: When he checks to me on this flop I don't want to give a free card, as you've said it's so easy for him to have overcards to your 9 and you've got the betting lead from your preflop raise. Part of the reason to raise preflop is to take the pot down with a Cbet when he misses; So I would Cbet here nearly 100% of the time, but I'd Cbet smaller about 50% of the pot. and if the preflop raise were smaller then a half pot bet here would have been about 800 or 850.

now, if you're facing a check raise jam with 2nd pair you've only invested 1600 or 27% of your stack. it hurts to fold it, but it's so easy for him to have a Ten and you still will have a playable stack.

I've heard it said several times that Tens are the 2nd most common cards that people play, Aces obviously being first. I don't know if that's true or not but it seems true. I know in my own general range I play more Tens than I play Queens for instance I'll happily raise T9s from the HJ but I'll fold Q9s or K9s.....

A9 is rags regardless of the player and what you know about him. You need to keep your chips for better hands imo.
