BB: t6377 M = 10.20
UTG: t7692 M = 12.31
UTG+1: t5455 M = 8.73
MP: t6280 M = 10.05
CO: t4975 M = 7.96
BTN: t1360 M = 2.18
Hero (SB): t5582 M = 8.93

Pre Flop: (t625) Hero is SB with :4d4: :4c4:
4 folds, BTN raises to t1335 all in, Hero raises to t5557 all in, BB calls t5257

Flop: (t12624) :5h4:, :js4:, :as4: (3 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t12624) :jd4: (3 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t12624) :10h4: (3 players - 2 are all in)

---------------------------------------------

I saw this as a good opportunity to try and add a chunk onto my stack off a loose, desperate player.

Did I just get unlucky or do I not do this again in future?

seems fine (I'm assuming blinds are 150/300 ?)

I dont think its a right play to raise with small pairs in this situation.I think the blinds are about 200/400 and you have invested only 200 in the pot. With 4 4 you are basically taking a coin flip and you will have a slight edge at maximum. I dont mind opening with this hand but calling a raise with 4 4 is not a shot worth taking.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Pushing with such small pair, is at best a coin flip. Assuming the blinds were 150/300 & ante 25, its better to fold with 18 BB and pick some better spot later.

But turbo is a bit*h and you can't be very sure what is a good fold and which, a weird call. I would suggest you to pick a range and stick to it, I never play anything less than 77, until I have less than 5BaB left.

BB has more chips than you. I play here only call and hope that BB will fold. If he calls I can see a flop, if he reraises I fold with pain and still have stack about 4k chips. But I don't know if my idea is right option. Take care.

Worst possible play is a flat here. You don't have the odds to set-mine, you'd be playing the pot OOP and if BB ships on you, you have to fold.

Taking a coin flip with dead money in the pot more than 90% of the time. If you run the range numbers of an open, short ship vs your 44, you'll likely have right around 53% hand equity.

And the winner is ^^^
