I didn't have a great read on this player, but I had been quite aggressive and winning most hands if they went to showdown. My strategy was to simply double the blind PF then bet 1/2 the pot on a hit. My question is, in this case should my PFR have been greater and/or should I have folded to the limp bet on the River?

In my opinion, raise to around 650-750 preflop, making the pot ~2000-2500ish with 8000ish behind. On this flop the raise is good because the 1/4 pot bet is weak, I think given the call of the raise on the flop and a blank turn you could go ahead and shove the turn with an SPR of 1. As played I think you can get this in on the river as he shows up with a weaker king and busted stright/flush a lot here

Thank you. So I should raise more PF in general when I raise and then increase my bet on a blank turn (presumably to prevent the villain from drawing out)? I am somewhat new to the aggression idea, coming as I do from primarily limit play, so was unsure how aggressive to be.

You should figure to have the best hand but it is not invincible and playes best against a single opponent so raise larger preflop for isolation and value. Usually at least 2.5xBB is enough. The large bet on the turn is to gain value from having the best hand when he calls with worse and if he calls with just a draw then you have induced a mistake as he is chasing without proper odds and this is a winning play for you to make in the long term. I recommend using controlled aggression in suitable spots as aggression is crucial to a winning players game. Good luck
