Seattle coach Pete Carroll says the Seahawks are moving ahead with plans to start quarterback Charlie Whitehurst in the NFC West title-deciding matchup against St. Louis.

Carroll says quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is rehabbing to make a return from a strained hip area, but that it would be "against the odds."

. . . . ...

It would be Whitehurst's second career start. Whitehurst's only other NFL start came in a 41-7 loss to the New York Giants.

I am rooting for the Rams in this one!! It should be a decent game to watch.

i hope the rams win because if they dont the nfc west winner would be 7-9 and host home wildcard gm lol joke. 8-8 is at least most respectable i dont think a team 7-9 has ever won a division lol.

8-8 is not respectable for a division winner.
It's an absolute joke, and it means the Giants could miss the playoffs with 10 wins :(

But if the Giants were in a similar position I wouldn't complain, and I like the importance of being a division winner.
