I have heard that US players are still able to sit down at the tables on UB and AP despite the fact that they have a popup that says it is not allowed? Anyone else heard this?

UB is not paying out to any customers right now (or at least a couple days ago... doubt it's changed) - - not just 'US'... but 'all' customers. They were still taking deposits on the weekend but not paying out. Not sure why anyone would play on there?

Bodog allows US players?? i thought they didn't

I've had money there for about 4-5 years. Just withdrew most of it this past Monday and got the check today.

Will the CC freerolls move over to Bodog and the other sites that still allow US players?

There is a CC freeroll over at Carbon Poker on Wednesdays. I just deposited there yesterday.

I would try going to a real casino its the only way to know its fair.

LOL .. you must have never got teamed at a live table...

I believe you can still play Carbon Poker in the U.S. unless it changed since I last heard.

Anyone here in the US trying other poker sites to play on or are there none that aren't banned?
Maybe read the first couple pages of this thread & you'll see the answer.

wtf is wrong with the us govt, very sorry to see this crap happen, re locate to ireland, ok the weather can be crap at times, but the people are friendly and welcoming, gambling is tax free, loads of sport, women are fine and the guinness flows 363 days a year, what more could a poker player want.

online site traffic

i've been monitoring the significant sites for traffic 24/7 since black friday. pokerscout.com numbers are absolete by a huge factor and very misleading. as of 12:17 pm central Merge had 7189 players, Merge includes skins of Carbon, Playaces by Sportsbook.com, and Playaces by Playersonly.com. Cake had 2865. this is according to the numbers shown on their sites. bodog is harder to find figures on as they dont seem to display numbers on thier site, but from observing the games and from with i've gathered from other sites i expect they are not much over 1000. pokerstars had 202,393 by comparison. these numbers are up from last friday. Merge had a bit over 5000 in the afternoon the day of the crash, so seems to be getting the bulk of the post-crash added action. Ultimately, i think it will be a decision between the Merge skins, based on US player payment support.
what i havent found on these forums is how successful US players are in withdrawing funds from the various Merge and Cake skins since the crash. i expect it will remain more expensive and take much longer than Pokestars, whose echeck support had no fees and got the money electronically deposited in your checking account within a couple business days.

I downloaded players only through Cardschat and played a $200 freeroll.

10 seats per table and 9 of those seats were filled with players from the USA.

I guess I will follow the money and deposit there soon........

Not positive, but seem to remember someone posting that Cake left the US as well. See the megathread.....

I actually had a small amount on my Cake account that I hadnt played in a Long time. It worked fine last night. I played a .02/.04 Ring game.

p.s. I've downloaded software for both but haven't deposited yet, so I'd basically be starting from scratch. Software difference seems imperceptible. Thanks guys.

Any good poker sites for US other than Carbon

Hi, I have been on Carbon Poker for about 3 weeks now. I liked playing there, but I can't make a deposit on their site. The tech chat tells me that I need to use Western Union to make a deposit.....theres no way that I would use western union for anything. I have been trying the visa option for over 2 weeks and it wouldn't go through. All other options aren't available for us residents.

I did sing in to Bodog, but all I could see was the 3 games available. You can't look through anything to find a game you want to join. Or, I'm just missing something.
Any recommendations from anyone here? Thanks in advance.

what games are you looking to play?

Bodog has up to a regular 100NL game always available, plus they have 200NL especially 6 max. Right now only 2 FR 200NL, but 10 6 max

SNGs are slow to fill but they have them

They have MTTs all day and evening with small fields generally

Also, FWIW, I sent support an email at Bodog, and they actually sent me a quality response within an hour

Looks like I am going to give Lock Poker a try. It is the only merge site I have rakeback on. I played some sng's last night and they seem pretty soft.

I'm trying to decide which site to look into. I was never concerned about cashing out of Pokerstars--they were incredibly reliable, but these lesser known sites worry me.

Which site should I pick and what rakeback options should I look into? I mostly play microstakes--all types.

Pokertracker support is a must because I own that software.

Thanks
