Just tried to open FT and they said there is a new update. Tried and they said cannot update and try again later. Of course I'm wondering about my money. Is it gone forever?

I could not get the update to download either. I went to the fulltiltpoker.co.uk site someone else mentioned and was able to download from there. However the site won't let me register for any freerolls or cash tournaments or cash tables. It also would not let me register for a FTP tournament. I'm feeling pretty screwed right now.

OMG don't suggest Doyles!?!?!? Pooff, have you checked out the 'new' Doyles? (I'm guessing you haven't). Doyles is worse than not playing imo.
lmao, no I have not logged onto Doyle's in a couple years. I will take your word for it.
I am moving to Carbon.
I will also probably reunite and deposit on my first love, bodog.

I play on Carbon just because that was where I won some off a CC freeroll awhile back and went from there. I can tell you a little about it.

There MTT's for the most part are soft. You just have to find out what times the ones you want to play in are. Thats what got my roll started on Carbon though, some solid finishs in MTT's.

They offer some good SNG's but they take some time too fill up, if you are use to FT and PS then you will think it takes years.

I don't play much on the tables, so I can't really tell you anything about there cash games.

Overall I like Carbon, i'm a learning player and still do alright on there. There just not a lot of traffic on there.

Anyone familiar with betsharks? One of those 3d
poker sites? They offer a bonus and seem legit
say they take US players too.

Well, it took them years to get this much done. The original law was passed in 2006. So I doubt they will be able to close any new sites unless they are already in the pipeline.

Not that people really want to play there but it appears UB still takes US players and has real money games available. I have money leftover there and I tried to enter a tournament just to see if it worked and it did.

Not many players there, 13000 or so but for those who need that fix of real money gambling, it's there.

I believe any poker site whos domain is outside the United States borders and therefore outside the FBIs jurisdiction should be safe. ie: The merge Network headquarters I believe is in canada.

You got Merge skins, but like was already said not much traffic. If it does increase due to this its more likely to be the better players than the fish. Obviously they don't have any evidence on the sites still up or they wouldve gone after them at the same time. But with what they have on FT, PS, and AP it might not be that long until they find a way to get the smaller sites, if they even care about them

Im not currently playing on my Merge site, it almost feels like itll end up being play money. I figure I'll eventually see what little money I had on PS and FT, as long as the government can't fine them into insolvency. But with the smaller sites I don't feel like I'd ever see the money.

As of right now it seems the merge network would be the best place to play. I spoke with one of there reps today and they stated that it's business as usual for them and they have not been effected in any way by this. I think the only way to get your money onto the sit is if your from the U.S. is usemywallet. I've played on Carbon and Players Only in the past and switched over to Overbet this morning to clear the bonus. Ring games were pretty full and extremely soft. I'd highly recommend any site on Merge as your only real other option is Bodog which is super soft as well although you can only play 4 tables at a time. Plus there's no rackeback there. Has anyone had a problem getting money off of Cake? It's been like three weeks I've been trying to get over 2K back and they keep giving me some bogus excuse that they don't have an exact ETA, but there working to get me my money.

Playing at Bodog now. It's awful but better than not playing at all.

There's a really nice poker room at the Indian Casino 2 miles from my house that is going to start filling up with all the on-line fish that have been blocked...

Hmmm... I might just have to get a new pole....

I love what Doyle tweeted:

"Now maybe we will see if these online "superstars" can play real poker. Ante up suckers! "

Or Daniel:

<LI id=RealKidPoker>Going to Aria to play $400-$800 mix just like I did over 10 years ago when I was a professional poker player. Save me a seat boys...

As has been suggested before, prolly ought to wait a few days till the dust settles. Any US approved sites that are still available after that, Nick may have an affiliate deal or 2 we can take advantage of.

Carbon is still available & at least at the 1 table SNG's, there is no way Bodog can be any softer.

There is a bug in the laws that allows race track betting online....go figure. Both Bodog and Sportsbook, and others have access to that action and seem to feel exempt.

Well I just created an account on Lock Poker, seems pretty cool - standard stuff. I don't plan on depositing any money, but it has freerolls.

Anyone have any comments or experiences with this site?

I play on lock, not too bad, traffic is kind of slow that ive noticed. Ive mainly been playing the sng stuff, they have DoN games that have been failry easy to win at the micro levels.
