Hi all,
I've posted before about specific UK freerolls with conditions of deposit for entry.
This is a new freeroll which will run every Thursday at 6pm UK time. Its hosted by a twitch streamer True Geordie. As far as I can tell this guy chats about football not poker. @Martin have you heard of him? There is no need for a deposit, the touney password is released on the day. GG UK seems to tweet it out.
For any non UK CC'ers reading this a Geordie is basically someone who comes from in and around Newcastle in the NE of England, on the River Tyne, not to be confused at all under any circumstances with people from Sunderland. which is close by, but on the river Wear. People from Sunderland are Mackems.
The above was just to explain the streamers name. Anyway, I've never listened, I am also from a close by area, but 20 miles South, and being a Middlesbrough fan, I would not want to listen to a streamer jabbering on about Newcastle Football Club.
So, I played this week, the first tourney. Lets just say there were a huge number of newbies playing. I'd say half the players had never played on GG before. That's not to say they had def never played poker, but there were some crazy plays. Literally giving chips away. I finished 16/400 for around T$9.50. There is a rebuy and an add on option for $1. This money does not get added to the prizepool, but I decided to do it as I almost forgot about the tourney and was very low on chips when I started. Min cash will be pretty easy to achieve as long as major coolers are avoided.
As bonuses there are also bounties on True Geordies head and maybe his mates, not sure on this yet, plus the FT, top 9, get $25 GG tickets too.
Its a no brainer for any UK player who plays on GG I'd say. I'll post the password here when I remember, assuming I don't get told not to. @Martin, can you clarify to me if this is OK to do.
