I also Dont like the some of the new functions at FT... My last hand function doesnt work.

8Michael3, If you can't get the last hand history to work it is most likely because you need to update your flash player. Even if you have flash player 10 you still need to update to the newest version, for some reason the player doesnt check for updates along with the other adobe products for me and this fixed it.

As for the record, I think that poker stars will crush Full Tilt just because of the volume of players that I always see playing there. Usually at least double the amount of players at PS compared to FT. The other day I saw 3 times as many bringing it to over 200k and Ive never seen FT break 100k.

I don't really care who takes the record, I play more at FT. The $5 buyin vs $1 buyin to me should make somewhat of a difference along with the way bigger prize pool at FT. Maybe different records because of the different buyins or the different prize pools should be done.

Full tilt's number is way more impressive due the the buyin.

poker stars = 49,622 = $49,622 which isn't accurate because they are giving seats away in freerolls.

I am posting this becuase I was playing at Pokerstars and was trying to qulify for the largest poker tourney ever. It was a bit dificult because it was hyper turbo , so it took no skill but complete poker lottery to make, which leads me to understand with 65k people how many donkeys do you think would be in this thing? Anyway if anyone is in this tournoment today I would like to get a few updates.

I got in through one of the hyper freerolls. There were four more scheduled when my first one started, so I just played like a complete donk. Once I got to the point where I could coast to the last 1000, I sat out.

48000 of the 65k playing are from the hypers, if i remember right. expect a lottery.

Had seats for both, gonna just stay with the PS for the "true record" tourney. Last time i played at both sites at the same time I couldn't concentrate. Also, PS is 65k and pays out 16k, 25% payout, FT is 50k and pays out 7500, only 15% payout.

If my memory serves me correctly, last time it took about 3 hours to hit the money. I'm predicting 4-5 this time, almost wish it was a turbo.

You are brain washed by Poker Stars marketing. Poker Stars tourney is a lower buyin paying a larger portion of the field, meaning all pay outs are going to be small. You make it into the top 16k and you get $2, big deal. and like you said, It's going to take awhile to get there. You make it to the top 2k and you get $4.20, again, who cares. Make it to the top 500 and you get $7.35, still not worth the time. Make it to the top 250 and you get $16, which is only one dollar more than the Full Tilt minimum pay out which pays $15 at 7500th place.

This is like Wal-Mart running the mom and pops out. Except in poker you don't want your payouts slashed. You get what you pay for. In this case you have to out last 64,750 people to make a dollar more than the full tilt min pay out. And if you end up winning the thing you win 13k on Poker stars and you win 45k on Full Tilt.

Like I said Full Tilt's tournament is way more impressive. If Poker stars wanted to compete with Full Tilt they would have made theirs a $5.00 buyin as well. However, they know they wouldn't have been able to beat Full Tilt so they did it the only way they could. Make the tourney cheap and create freerolls so all the freerolls junkies will get in the tourney too.

I really don't think it will take that long. Poker Stars tourney will be such a donk fest, I bet 20k are gone by the first break.

So again, what Full Tilt did was way more impressive and this is a Poker Stars guy saying it!!! That has to count for something

Its gonna be a crazy one. I'm just gonna wait for good hands probably because i know i'll get action with them. Blinds are ten minutes too instead of 5 so you have a bit more room to work with. If i can get going early with a big stack watch out donks i'm coming for you.

I also managed to win a ticket in the hyper donk fr. (also won one in full tilt's fr .... 50k people for 500k payout .... they thought they would get the record and pokerstars came in and scooped them ... lol ) ) Should be an interesting day of poker .... hope their systems can handle it.

yes they have raced FTP which expected to get the record today.
But what if the buyin had been of 5$ like on FTP

And clearly, the payouts are far better on FTP.
Unfortunately, I could not reg on the FTP one, I've heard about this one too late

Record Breaker on Pstars

Ill be playing in the record breaker tournament on Pstars Sunday. They are breaking the previos Guiness world record of 35,000 entrants. there are 65,000 entrants. IT is 130K gtd. with 65K added and is only $1 to enter.
with 7,500 getting paid it could be a good BR builder.
Anybody else playing this?

Heh, nice chat log. Flopped set less than rivered flush for half my stack, but then 99>44 and KK>QK, so have decent chips on a 4 handed table.
