Agreed - it’s a crap shoot which is why I like the PKOs as at least you can outclass some people along the way and pick up bounties.
I’m also focusing more on satellites into the M events with (slightly) smaller fields and meaning a cash ends up being a meaningful return. Not keen on playing through 10k players just to double my buyin...

1st double up to 50k - all in PF my QQ holds vs AKo, 1st bounty in the bag.
2nd bounty AQs vs their AJo.
Lost 1/3 stack playing a stupid hand to try and grab 3 bounties at once.
Finished now with $3.30 in bounties so tripled my money at least give satty entry. Didn’t like the format of this one at all, blinds too high too early so became a game of pre flop shoves every hand with no actual poker being played.
Went out AJs vs AKs having shoved over two limpers trying to steal the 1/3 of my stack they’d donated in the middle. One sadly had me covered and couldn’t get the flush done.
