Interesting .. I never notice that as I don't play them but it further shows how full of BS Amaya is .... I see there is a bronze star weekly $2500 for 25 star coins that is also running tomorrow.

10 star coins are worth 10 cents. How many players do these games usually get ? I assume it must be at least 3000 ? That would be $300 worth of coins into a $250 game. I wonder if the prize pool will grow if the amount of coins are greater than the value of the game.

I didn't play them often since there was just 2 of each between 7 am and 1 pm PST each day so I could only play 1 or 2 on weekends but the usual range seemed to be between 1500 and 2200 players. The numbers were higher before they cut the prize pool. They were barely worth playing, I made 2 final tables this year, 1 in each, a 4th in the 20FPP and that was only about $35, and a 6th in the 10FPP and that was only $10. It wasn't much but like the 100k it was free money that I used to play micro stakes on the site so it kept in play and helped my bankroll.

Wow 25000 players in the $10K vip freeroll. The smaller $2500 vip freeroll with 5000 players is better value lol. On the up side 15 minutes in and 5000 players are gone already and I have 4 sit outs at my table.

Down to 10,065 at the first break. Seems like even more of a donkfest than usual, people shoving and calling with pretty much any 2 cards. 5 sitters on my table, but they are all down to 2 BB's or less.

Only 4665 to the money, lol.:p

Out 16XX place ... $1.40 richer lol. Lost with a big drawing hand , open ended straight flush .. hit flush on turn but the other player boated up. Built back up .. lost AK to KQ all in preflop. Hung around for awhile to eventually my A Q ran into KK. At that was that.

Good luck if your still in.

Nope, out around 1700 for $1.20.

Defended BB with AJ, flop came A-J-6, I bet, he shoved and flipped over JJ.

I've been playing for a long time on pokerstars. For 4 years and a lot of stock on the freeroll changed room. And everything was always for the better, so do not worry about a freeroll.

Well at least all the fat cat net withdrawing HUD using players can't say that Poker Stars is only putting the squeeze on the high raking players.
They are removing approximately $1.5million a year that helps the weaker rec players extend their playing time and keep being net depositors and most of this goes into the pool to fund the net withdrawlers.
Their marketers have yet to learn the simple premise of never bite the hand that feeds you.

Yes policy the company has changed together with the change of leadership.they are good players equalized the score with all players.more casino not lucky lucky.let's see what will happen next.I do not recommend to lay down on the expense of a lot of money

I have a mixed feelings about this changes.
The cons - it used to be 1000$ guaranteed prize + rebuys and addons and it was around 1500$ each tournament, but now its only 500$. The other thing is that all you need to do is to achieve chrome status in order to play those games, now to get the tickets you need to play games which personally I dont usually play
The pros - I really like the idea to change it to hyper turbo/allin shootout style, i didnt like playing for 2 hours just to have 40 cents...and i like the schedule-i can play zoom and hyper turbo tournament and register in allin shootout.
So I would totally like the changes if the prizepool would be 1000$ like it used to be

How much money have you made so far with the new tournaments?

I used to make about $150 a year with the Privilege Freerolls and it was very easy. I was playing other tourneys on the side.

that kind of freerolls takes too much time and it's crushing your heart to see that you "loose" or "win" few bucks on 10-15place ...like no more than 7$....no ft , no big wins...and there were a big amount of players. The new daily challenges are more benefits with the tickets playing 500$ freerolls...hope they will to another interesting promo like that....but improving more requests.

I told this before but there are no breaks in those new tourneys (at least when I played).

So if you are multi-tabling you may want to get a piss bottle. Sigh!

PokerStars will remove the Privilege Freerolls

For me, it is the end of an era.

I could usually play 3 of these per day and make an average of $0.50/day.

If I play 300 days/year then that's $150 in my account.

Also I was using that money to play other MTT's at the same time I played those freerolls.

I hope they will replace them with something even better but that remains to be seen.
Ahhh its a shame that they will remove that tourney.Thats one of my favorites and i cashed out every day from it :(

I used to make about $150 a year with the Privilege Freerolls and it was very easy. I was playing other tourneys on the side.

They were a great way to help micro stakes players build a bankroll, and you are right, they were very easy.
I could make between $12 and $20 in a typical month depending on how I ran, and that's not counting when I hit the final table.
With so many players it was always a rush to reach the final table and actually winning them gave me a real sense of accomplishment, as well as a nice little bankroll boost since they were so top heavy in payouts.

Since the changes I've cashed out all but about $4 and I've logged into the site just 2 or 3 times and played just once.
I created an 888 account and have spent most of my playing time there now.

It's pretty sad, I've played there since 2003 or so when I started just playing play money chips.

I've made 2 or 3$ and i havent played them for past several days. I see your frustration about these changes and actually i liked 100k tourneys too cause they more looked like poker, but new tournaments definitely have better time/value ratio

Are they not just encouraging the freerollers to make a deposit and play?
Huge freerolls r just full of chancers. I won a few on FTP back in the day and they took close to 7 hours per tournament.
