Hello everyone :)
Why is pokerstars no longer offering free tournaments where players win cash as before?
Yes, I do not deny that Pokerstars offers valuable free satellites, but the truth is that we qualify for paid buy-in & rebuy tournaments, and unfortunately we may encounter players who do not care about money and do not stop rebuy, and here it is difficult to qualify for the next tournament, which may also be a satellite .
And the other thing is that the cost of participating in the cheapest sit&go has become no less than 0,25$, unfortunately PS did not leave the room for beginners to enjoy this game and practice and learn it as it was before. Yes, where are the free EPT, Bankrollmob, and PokerSchool Openskill tournaments, etc. Where are the sit&go $0,02 and $0,10 and $0,27 buy-in tournaments.
Many of these tournaments motivate us and make us happy to play more and give us the opportunity to practice more and participate in several paid sit&go and tournaments.
Do you agree with me or what do you think?

If you could remind us of some of the advantages and opportunities that were previously offered by pokerstars, I think that he offered many gifts and opportunities to all those who registered in it without exception, do you remember the gift he gave you on your birthday?????

Yes, I miss those small buy-in tournaments where you could win quite good prize comparing with buy-in and still not be affected to lose it.. and practice, of course to play MTT's.

Pokerstars can be considered "not being as generous as they used to be" the day they stop having cardchat games ...

I know they support Cardschat tournaments and we are very grateful for that, but Cardschat tournaments were also at the time I was talking about.

this is a change in the site policy, new managers come and they decide what and how to change, you shouldn't blame them for this, the only answer to these changes that could show the fallacy or correctness of such a decision is a decrease in online players and a decrease in the site's revenue, unfortunately I don't have data for 2021, but the pandemic I confused all the cards, so only after 2 years it will be possible to look at the statistics of the site on players and profitability, and in general I think that these freerolls are pennies for them, here the question is deeper and not visible to a simple player

That's exactly why! At least as far as the German poker area is concerned. PokerStars is required to do so due to new rules/regulations on obtaining a gaming license.

Lots of requirements to 'protect the players'.

I think poker stars does not care too much for beginners players or micro/small stakes player. But this is already happening for a long time, not in the last few years. Also, they are not generous as they used to be for all level of players. The old promotions of 10 years ago were much better for the players, but now they don't have the same competition as before, so, I don't expect this to change anytime soon.

There are a lot of poker rooms now so you can raise money in other rooms after withdrawing it and come to pokerstars to play more expensive tournaments if you have a small amount, choose other rooms and play there at low limits pokerstars has been on the market for a long time, they have moved away from low limits I think it's logical they are interested in earning higher earnings

They have replaced their generosity in Poker with generosity in Casino. They try to get you play more of those. They got the free spin thing and if you lose a lot of money in live casino you get 5€ instant casino bonus the next day.

Right now only 2 freerolls on PS: CC and Casino Org.
Other ones who put you into uncountable sattelites - well, I can't count them as a valid one, not enjoyable, not valid.

You could say they are doing such a big chance like Sports Sunday and Chequered Flag. But this is not the reality. They actually have a buy-in ( a risky 5$ sport bet and participating on a Sunday Milli sattie), and few spots with turbo blind structure can gave you glory. And if you 're able to manage these freerolls, and get your ticket, at the end of the day you spent money and energy, and you found yourself on a field that maybe are better quality than your knowledge.

0.25$ is nothing. Your one day salary should be 15$ at least. So if you depisit once in a year a one day salary, you will have 60 buy-ins to this SNG. PS's payouts and variety in games in real money MTTs are amazing. So there's a bright side in it, you just looking from a bad point of view.

I share many of the opinions, it is frustrating to realize that poker Stars has become more monetary, it does not hold those tournaments like before, where you could win a lot without investing almost anything, and that has led to fewer players. it is true that poker stars is the largest poker room in the world, and knowing that there should be more free tournaments where everyone has the opportunity to raise their bankroll.

For anyone starting in poker world I would highly recommend crypto poker sites. Usually you can play there on cash tables for less then $0.01/$0.02, because of conversion rate.

I guess, its a business decision? Maybe someone figured out, that offering these tournaments cost them money in the long run rather than generated more revenue, as they hoped for?

I guess, its another business decision? Penny games generate almost no rake, so likely they are hoping, that players will move up and at least pay $0,25 to participate.

Hi.
In general, I agree with you. The changes that have taken place at PokerStars over the past two years can hardly be called an improvement. So lately I prefer playing on 888.
Good luck.

Well, some of us can only play PS due to geographical restrictions. Yet, may be because I am new to poker and don't know any better, I am happy with what PS provides in terms of freeroll and buy-in opportunities .

There are some 1.1$ buy-in tournaments with the prize pool ranging from 100$ to 2k$. May be there used to be lower buy-ins in PS, however, I am too new to the game to remember those.

I agree there should be more and more affordable buy-ins so more of us can play.

There are plenty of freeroll satellites in PS to pricier buy-in tournaments.

I must agree with you here...888 has much more freerolls with money prizes than PS or other rooms, it is very friendly to a new players! Probably I see that any room doesn't have tournaments with buy-in less then 1$ with money prizepool. So it is the general problem I suppose, not the local problem of PS. But if you will look at the tournaments starting from 1$, then you'll see that PS has the biggest prizepools. Like 1$ buy-in with 700$ or 1000$ prizepool. You don't get anything like that on 888 unfortunately - they have 1$ buy-in with 250 or 500 $ prizepool. So...maybe the way is to play in all different rooms, because then you'll have the most valut out of that system?

Your response confirms the correctness of what you have posted, I hope you are a follower or informant of the Pokerstars administration.
In general, I see that most of the members agree with me, and this is a positive, reasonable and real thing.
Even if you work for Pokerstars, this does not mean that you are the owner of Pokerstars to decide and respond in this dry manner.
Before you and above all, I consider Pokerstars to be one of the best and largest poker rooms ever in the world, and I see it as the best in terms of the number of registered users, the most famous, and the collector of the most professionals and the largest online tournaments. And if I happen to ask a question about removing some advantages and opportunities from it, this does not mean that I do not play in the freeroll that it offers, but rather take advantage of every opportunity it offers, and this is another thing that concerns me as well, and it does not belong to you:)
If the cost of participating in the MTT becomes at least $0.25, and you no longer organize tournaments where the winner is winning for cash, this means that the PS management no longer cares about giving some opportunities to beginners and others to practice and learn this beloved game and elevate themselves from a lower level to a better level.

Hi:)
You can only deposit $10 dollars if you want, we all know that, but I'm talking about Pokerstars' past and present,
What would happen, or would PS go bankrupt if he left the subscription cost of 0.02 and 0.10 and $0.27 tournaments, or exchanged a few satellites for cash-win tournaments. I will not be enough to deposit only $15 a month, I will deposit several times a month as soon as I lose, and I will go bankrupt immediately, if you can do that, congratulations to you, or what is the strategy of depositing $15 a month?

As for the CC and CO tournaments and everything that PokerStas offers at the moment, I am always grateful, as I said in the above post.
