Hi guys,

it seems that pokerstars is heading the wrong way because this morning I was going to follow my dream to become a great cash game player and notices that my regular ZOOM tables (Halley for NL2 and Donati for NL5) have disappeared from my "favorites" tab.

So when I look up for them I realized that now they have ANTES.

I can't find the exact message of PokerStars but I remember that it said something like: "We are making this in order to create bigger pots so you can have more fun". Bulls$%it.

They only want us to give more rake to them so, for the first time in my life... I'm thinking of quitting playing on PokerStars.

What do you think about these measurements?

Not for me. I'm back to normal micro 6 max. I have no desire to pay more rake.

I have never really been into cash games with antes, but I dont think, there is anything wrong with them. Antes force people to get involved more, which create more action and a more interesting game. Zoom games tend to be a really nitty affair, and I guess, this is why, they made this move. Time will tell, if it will be popular with customers or not.

The stacks in general seems to be much larger so when you have won a few hands there will be awesome implied odds for set mining.

On NL2 it is just insane.

Don't see the problem myself. Most low limits are folded to bets in zoom so at least you win something..

I think it will favor tight-agressive players.

PokerStars will always do things that are profitable for their business, it started a long time ago and I think it will continue for a long time. some players will leave, new ones will come, and the room will earn money:)

They have lost a lot of traffic in ZOOM, perhaps it is a relaunch strategy of this modality.

And hopefully they will continue to lose more traffic!!

I think it is TERRIBLE!

This is an out & out money grab for Pokerstars. This isn't set up to benefit the players (so that they can have more fun.. LOL... it's for Pokerstars so that they can have more fun by taking every penny they can get).

I often play on those tables when I feel like playing for a short period of time. I won't play on them again... ever!

The ones who are commenting on this thread, suggesting they don't see a problem with it... either work for Pokerstars or don't have a clue of what they're talking about.

This ^ is true! But it wasn't always this way... and it's not how they rose to be such a super power in the online poker world.
I think what we'll continue to see moving forward is other sites moving up & eventually taking over (ie. GGPoker, partypoker... & hopefully it'll be 'gg' poker for Stars).

Guess I'll never know the glory days of zoom because I quit poker before it came on the scene

Just for information the Zoom games on PokerStars are back to the traditional form without antes now.
