Pokerstars has actually the worst software

Pokerstars software I think sucks, I hate how you can only table 4 max tables now, and also how you can't join waiting list for tables.

Also I was using a I3 old computer to play it, and it couldn't handle Aurora's graphic engine, I don't know a ton about tech and performance, but I feel like a potato should have enough processing power to run there client.

It has always been my opinion that the poker stars software is the best in the business... and it's not even close. Millions of miles above and beyond any other poker site... and they also have the biggest player base which is THE most important thing for a tournament player like myself.

The day Isai Scheinberg left was the day Poker Stars began to get worse, not better. According to wikipedia, "Scheinberg sold his stake in Pokerstars to Amaya Gaming in 2014 for $4.9 billion." I have very strong negative opinions about Amaya Gaming, but I won't post them here because nobody cares about my views.

Thankfully, Amaya is now gone from the scene, again wikipedia says "On October 2, 2019, Flutter Entertainment announced an agreement to acquire The Stars Group for $6 billion." I have no real opinion on Flutter, they seem okay and they seem to be doing some things on the play chip side that I am okay with. For example, they now run high stakes play chip tournaments which makes me feel like a real baller as I play essentially meaningless poker for no real reward other than my ego. LOL

Disclaimer: As an American poker player, we were banned from playing on Poker Stars for real money by our US Government on April 15, 2011 in the event known as "Black Friday". At some point around 2017 we were thankfully allowed back onto Poker Stars, but we are still only allowed to use the play chip side.

What I appreciate the most about Poker Stars' software is the fact they offer all the games, games I am unable to play anywhere else, such as my beloved Badugi.

In my opinion, everything is in order at Pokerstars, I am satisfied after the update, there are no comments or I do not quite understand.

Maybe your computer is a more recent machine that can handle the Aurora graphics. I think many people, including myself, find that our systems are being left behind by their upgrades. I understand they are constantly trying to improve the software, but I don't think they really needed to.

I've disabled the throwables as well, as those are a waste of time and do nothing for my poker game. I'm too busy focusing on the hands I'm playing and what decisions I need to make. I have no time trying to figure out who I want to throw a piece of shit at.

I have experienced a similar thing. The Aurora graphics engine can no longer be turned off, the machine has been slower since then, and fewer tables can be played smoothly. CPU usage is high.

There is a folder called ImgCache (you can find it on your PC in the following folder):

C:\Users\<Login Name here>\AppData\Local\PokerStars

So, if for example, your Windows login is pontvadasz, then your ImgCache folder would be located here:

C:\Users\pontvadasz\AppData\Local\PokerStars

Before you boot up your PokerStars client, delete ALL the files in that folder. That MIGHT help you a little bit. It used to work very well.

I think you're right Daniel72. Computers are getting more and more powerful, and companies that are trying to remain competitive are trying to create a gaming experience that will take full advantage of what a state of the art PC can do.

The facility to make deposits, transfers and withdrawal makes it my favorite poker site.

I use MuchBetter for deposits and withdrawals, and it is LIGHTNING fast on the withdrawals. Plus, and you touched upon it as well, you can use that deposit method on Party, GG, and 888.

Has anyone else noticed that ever since they added the emoji's the boards seem to pair more often than not. Regardless of the tournament or sit n go it seems every other board pairs itself. And if the board doesn't pair an Ace and King or Ace and 2 faces hit. It's been this way every since the emoji's were added.

I personally never notice any problems with speed or the software itself
The only problems I’ve ever noticed is when the server starts to get a bit busier and it has been known to crash but in general my experience of PokerStars has been a good one

Poker Stars is so much bigger that the other sites and probably requires more energy to drive it.If PS is so bad why does it have so many participants and tables that fill so much quicker than any of the other sites.
Are people's opinions driven by emotion, after losing money on Stars?
I suggest if you are a losing player, it is because you lack the skills that the modern game of poker requires.
