if it says 1 in 4 players will receive couldn't that mean there have to be a minimum of 4 players for 1 to win

I'm not trying to argue or anything just curious if the way they worded it also states the minimum

Surprised it doesn't specify min players in tourney lobby but this is spot on

At the very least they are being dishonest with how they represent the event(s). While it is within their right to cancel anything they wish, for nearly any reason, the advertising is misleading.
